Whilst I think it's a good point, are you not glad we are checking any potential target out on a variety of levels before jumping in?

If Lennon handed Lawwell 4 names and Boyle was one, I think he has every right to send out the staff he employs to go do their due diligence. Lennon might think he'd do well, Lawwell might have doubts, so send the so called experts in to run the rule over him. Many reasons why we'd send scouts in, despite the manager having first hand experience.

I like him for Hibs, good pace, good work rate, runs all day and scores a decent amount but theres no chance we should be signing him. Not technical enough for us, would be another Hayes and end up playing as a back-up rght back.

Then again maybe could be the new Agathe lol

His stats in the league are pretty good this season but I always take them with a pinch of salt as the way clubs play against the likes of Hibs, is different to how they play against us; therefore there's no guarantee he'd replicate it.

Hayes was signed as a LW replacement for the outgoing Paddy Roberts and I remember people quoting similar-ish goal & assist stats. He's now playing as an auxiliary LB for us when needed.

Mackay-Steven tore up the league then couldn't cut it at us.

These signings rarely work out well and for that reason I'd rather we looked elsewhere.

If Lennon is dead set on him or his favoured, more expensive targets have had the Peter Lawwell 'red pen treatment' then I will accept the signing and hope he proves me wrong.

He's an ok player and i'd be fine with this if we didn't already have Shved in waiting, would much rather give that boy a chance.

Hope this is bollocks. He’s nowhere near good enough.

Isn't he an Australian internationalist? If he needs 3 months to recover like Tam does this needs to be a no-goer.

Think he's a decent player but not good enough for us.

Goes at the same clip as Christie in a less dominant side.

But apparently nowhere near good enough.

    Interesting take.

This season, in the Scottish Premiership, over the equivalent of fewer than eight games? Almost.

In major competitions, over the course of their careers? No.

The realities of playing for Celtic, and the realities of playing for Hibernian, are different: there are advantages and disadvantages for players.

There is an interesting take for you.

We just started to get rid of the deadwood, we don't need to start piling up more

Goes at the same clip? Care to explain that turn of phrase?

Remember Hartley and Robson came in and no one thought too much but turned out game changers, christie did nothing for first 18-24 months until settled,Agathe was nothing either, there’s alaways some that rise too top.

Why is there an absolute weird fetish for Australian posters on here to think their national team contains world class superstars :56:

Arzani and Boyle are the upside doon Messi and Ronaldo.

Hes injury prone. So fits the criteria.

In all seriousness I think this will happen.
