We are neck and neck with the huns and still buying projects that could turn out like Bayo and Eboue.
    * has that got to do with wanting Lennon as Manager.
We bought the same projects and duds when the Rat was here.

I'm happy with the job Neil is doing but no Manager is perfect.
I think in these next two years we should be pushing the boat out to secure ten.
We have played well this season up until the last couple of weeks, when we have ran out of steam and we need decent players to help the team.

A week left of the window, thought we would've done more business by now tbh, can still see another 2-3 coming in.

The board have said time and again they will not risk the long term financial stability of the club for short term gain and that includes 10 titles in a row. They have paid out so far this season significant amounts of cash!

    £7m Jullien
    £3m Bolingoli
    £370k Connell
    £1.6m Elhamed
    £2m Taylor
    £300k Frimpong
    £300k O’Connell
    £300k Afolabi
    £3.5m Klimala
    £2m Soro

plus loan fees for Forster, Elyounoussi and Bauer which will probably run into a million quid which is in total £21.37m that’s significantly more than we have spent in years gone by and double what the huns spent in the summer!

now people will balance that out and say we got £27m of fees for players going out the door but it’s more than Rodgers ever got in 1 season and the highest spend since 2000 which was £19.5m

although they have taken a significant chunk off wage bill - which needed done!

Agreed - 2 decent level loans to end of season and a project like Sissoko

I think all project signings should be on the back burner for now, it's imperative at this moment in time we get experience in, the next 9 days could define our season.

I wouldn't mind Boyle from Hibs. Pacey, can go by players on the wing or come inside and have a shot. A player I think who would flourish here.

I think he'd do a job for us domestically mate. Mind you I thought Morgan was going to be really good for us.

Rodgers didn't need to replace half the squad and got Dembele for 500 grand.
Also never had any competition in the league until last year, and jamp ship at the first sign of it.
It's pretty simple to me. Spend a bit more and secure 10, then go back to our model.
Or risk losing the league and 10 in a row and lose supporters, income and profit anyway without even trying.

Dermot Desmond is responsible for hiring Rodgers, not Lawwell or any of the board.

If it were up to them we’d still have Carlton Cole up front.

The owner was forced to step in when stands had to be covered by banners at Celtic Park, a huge embarrassment for a club such as ours.

We have members of the board who’s political beliefs are the complete opposite of our founding members principles.

    Like I say, permanent embarrassment.

Edit - and I don’t give a * about Rangers or their board and neither should you. Comparing ourselves to them has limited us as club.

A lot may also depend on what the score is tonight, if we lose this they might panic and decide to spend a bit, then again they might not give a *

We should be a country mile ahead of anyone in this country with our resources.

Winning 10 trophies in a row is phenomenal, how much you can credit our board of directors for that is very much up for debate.

In all honesty, whilst 10 trophies in a row is impressive, I would much rather have dropped a Scottish or Betfred Cup here and there and have a much better playing squad than we do now.

We’ve missed out on massive Champions League revenue because of their incompetence, and they are guilty of collusion with the police to put innocent fans through * - year long battles with the courts, jobs lost, arrests at airports etc.

Permanent embarrassment, and the fact you can disregard their clear and obvious faults with one sentence is even more embarrassing.

It’s the most dominant period of domestic success in our club’s 132 year history. To give the board no credit for that is silly.
    Ridiculous logic.
They’re not perfect and have made mistakes, but it’s also not their fault for some of the individual errors that have cost us CL football at times, the most recent example being this season

What’s this about collusion with the police to target innocent fans and lost jobs?
    This is nothing but hyperbole.

First dermot Desmond doesn’t own Celtic he is the majority shareholder.

second Desmond can’t appoint a manager without the approval of the board hence why lawwell and bankier where involved

thirdly Carlton Cole that’s just you being a drama queen

it’s the cost of football and appointing an unknown manager that caused the banners but that’s what happens in a 60,000 all seater

agreed the board do have different visions to our forefathers

we don’t compare ourselves to them I was merely replying to your question and to quote @Ron Swanson some of your logic is irrational and hyperbole

I always had this wonderful notion that the first time we got a legitimate challenge...boom! We would have splashed big cash and flexed the muscles.

Feeling a bit underwhelmed with a week left, wanted game changers not projects.
