    Money would be better spent on players who can contribute here and now, like wee Soro.

    Think we’ll revisit this in the summer though.

    On the latter point, we definitely are and as I posted in his thread last night I'm glad to see it.

    Doesn't mean we will ignore this sort of player though who is on our doorstep as we have had success in recent years with developing Scottish talent.

    I wasn't sure on him at first as I didn't know a whole lot but I'd really like us to go in for him again.

    Totally, we cannot disregard upcoming Scottish players completely but I do think we can get better value for money elsewhere. Mainly because Scottish clubs are becoming more reluctant, and rightly so, to sell their players to us on the cheap as they know we have plenty cash at our disposal.

    One player from the SPFL who's impressed me is Lewis Smith of Hamilton. Seen him playing against us and the Huns and thought he stood out.

    He has recently said 'he had to learn to walk again' after his injury. Thats the sort of thing you hear from car crash victims. Dont like to be harsh on the lad but if thats the case Celtic were 100% right to call the deal off and if the injury was that bad it remains to be seen if he returns to the player he was. I cant see Celtic going near this until he proves on the pitch with Motherwell that the injury has not had any long term adverse effects.

    I'm not sure about that. I'd be be willing to sign him on a (much) lower transfer fee, with add ons. But it is a risk admittedly.

    It was gonna be a cut price deal, we put him through the surgery and rehab then once fit send him to Motherwell on loan. Would of been add ons for appearances etc.
