Standing in McDonalds after work and seen a guy ask for a bottle of orange juice to be changed to a fruit shoot...*server comes back with it*...guys grabs it out her hand and walks away without a thanks.

30 seconds later a guy storms up to the counter holding a bag of chicken nuggets, "Scuse me dae ye want tae try wan eh them and tell me if you think they're acceptable?"

Server said: "Sorry, I'm a veggie but I'll get you fresh ones made and bring them over"

    Guy: "A don't gee a *, you're serving * that's still frozen!"

Seems to be that people nowadays feel it's alright to talk to and treat people like *. Is common courtesy no longer common?

Both examples absolutely out of order. The second in particular I’d have to bite my tongue at. Basic manners and gratitude cost nothing.

I’ll be honest, I don’t come across it often as bad as that.

Common courtesy out the window and so many more folk these days think it’s ok to moan about everything and anything.
You can only assume from his attitude that this * in McDonalds always does his job perfectly and never makes a mistake.
At least he said scuse me though.

There's literally fuckall common courtesy/manners here..

Was waiting in a line to get on the tube on Monday and * were running past and squeezing in on the carriage as the doors were shutting...nevermind the fact the lines are 20 deep and some of us have no been able to get on 3 tubes in a row. Wanks..

I don't know how people work in Subway either. I've never seen so many rude * the way people tell them what they want in their 6 inch or foot long. Wouldn't be me that's for sure. There's no please or can I, it's just rude "i told you cucumber" etc etc..

I feel strongly about this, I think it's dead.

People are unbeleivably self-centered now, see it everywhere:

    Work
    Pubs
    Shops
    Public Transports

    etc.

When I go to the tea station in work it does be left in a * state (the cleaner will do it attitude) no pal just because you work in a government job doesn't mean you cant take the 20 seconds to pull the tissue off the wall and wipe down the water you spilled on the counter.

Same goes for shops, people leaving their leftover crumbs & packages while the bin is right there, no consideration for the people who be sitting there next and most importantly the staff working a busy lunch time shift, this is the last thing they need, see below:

When you're out, dont let the glasses pile up on the table ffs, drop them back when you're getting another pint or leaving, it beggars belief seeing aloada * getting up to go without a care in the world, christ.

It takes literally 5 seconds of extra effort to do the right thing and treat others how you would like to be yourself.

Fact the below post even needed to be shared, says alot.

Would love to know how people deal with this when it happens to them.

Its something that really annoys me,happens a lot and i bite me lip but i know one day soon ill lose the plot.

Happens a lot in the Bookies, hand me bet in and say thank you and in return i get the docket thrown back out to me.

I used to work in a betting shop and always said please and thank you and i know what the staff have to deal with but some of them are as rude as *.

The worst example of it, imo, is on the roads here. The risks drivers take at the smallest gap is mental, folk flying through amber/red lights at the last minute. No wonder I see more crashes here than I’ve ever see anywhere else.

I would consider myself very well-mannered - self-deprecating, I queue patiently, I always say 'please' and 'thank you', and I'd help just about anyone if they're genuinely struggling.

But I have a dark side... I * love it when someone is unnecessarily rude to me or to someone else. Mild-mannered to Charles Bronson wannabe in the blink of an eye!

Totally get this, I do a small bet on a Saturday and can almost guarantee while i'm waiting some * will just walk up to the front of the queue and stick his line and cash under the glass like there's nobody else in the shop,i'll end up getting barred one day as I find it very hard to keep my mouth shut.

I blame a lot of it on the mobile phone / it culture, people don’t know how to converse socialise or be aware of others.

Possibly against the grain but I think young ones are now more polite than the middle / older generations.
