Not sure what the emoji is about, I guess you turn your notice up at anything playing in Scotland, think of the players that would have passed us by if we all thought along these lines.

He's only 23 so hardly a journeyman either.

Nah, I don't turn my nose up at players in Scotland who show they're good enough to play for Celtic. McGinn had played very well against both us and them, had played in Europe and been called up for Scotland. That deal made complete sense.

Taylor had done well against us and the Huns and been called up to the Scotland squad, that deal you could argue made sense.

Aberdeen will want £4 million+ for Cosgrove and if you think that represents value then you're off your head. He's done nothing of note against us or them and has no international or European experience. Scoring 1 in 2 against the SPFL also rans doesn't make you a £4 million player.

The truth is that very few playing for Scottish teams that are good enough to reach the level we need them to reach.

Mackay-Stevens was a standout for Dundee United for years, yet never reached the level we needed. He cost us £250k so it was worth a punt.

Hayes was a standout for Aberdeen for years, yet until the last 6 months had barely featured for us.

Allan was Hibs best player and never got a look in under 2 different managers, including one that signed him on a Bosman for a team before he joined us.

Christie has developed into an excellent player but that was after 3 years worth of development loans, coaching and working on his game. For £500k you can take those punts. At £4 million we can't.

...and the funny thing is we beat Genoa to his signature.
It's funny how this so called expert in Poland never read any Polish articles about young Patryk.
He's 21 years old. He started out as a right back for Legia U19s.
Picked up an injury in season 16/17 while at Bialystok, missed a 8 weeks of the season
Scored 17 in 9 games for the development side, played three Ekstraklasa league games.
Season 17/18 dropped down a league for game time.Scored 13 goals in 28 games.
Season 18/19 he's mainly been given minutes off the bench in the league
but started games in the cup.
Rather than that being a failure, it's perfectly normal progression into the first team.

Super Scoreboard want to suggest he's a failure before a ball's been kicked,
and even rocked out a fake expert who really doesn't have all that much expertise by the sounds of it.

Meanwhile, Poland Under-21 star Klimala is expected to be unveiled as Neil Lennon’s first January signing on Tuesday.

After arriving in Glasgow on Sunday night, the 21-year-old, who has scored seven goals in 17 games this season, underwent a medical yesterday and got his first view of Celtic Park.

Klimala is expected to sign a contract until the summer of 2024 and could even feature in Saturday’s Scottish Cup clash with Partick Thistle.

7 in 17 this season/scored 11 goals in 53 games for current club Jagiellonia Bialystok...

Not great numbers and in a very poor league, similar to SPL where we really need a 30-40 goal a season striker. Oh well. Hope he improves while with us. Looks quite raw in his video footage.

I would've felt more confident getting Sporar in who is proven quality.

why not look at his whole record like the season he was on loan and how many games he’s started etc look at his under 21s record and give him a chance to prove himself.
