Wonderful, and would be a shame to lose quite possibly the best player song ever.

    It’s a shame he didn’t get a chance with Lenny .
Hope he does well at Preston .

This isn’t being sentimental - but I have argued for ages that he should never have been anywhere near our exit door. Not playing someone like him and then selling him when we have an injury-prone loan signing in Elyonoussi and an erratic Johnstone is still very perplexing in my eyes.

Let’s be blunt here his big wages played a massive part in that decision, that said he had been struggling for form for a while.

He’s done that at every club he’s been at except Man City, his big problem is kicking on and maintaining his form.

Loved Sincy, but Mo is class, think he's just been unfortunate with the injury, I don't believe he's injury prone.

Think Sincy shoulda been given more game time but not to be.

Wonderful servant to us, not *, total professional to the end, debut season up there with the very best and stats throughout to match.

SCOTT SINCLAIR has admitted that starring for Celtic was the proudest moment of his career so far.

The winger played an important role in helping the Hoops to three straight trebles.

The former Manchester City and Swansea City player returned south last month to sign for Preston North End.

But he will always be thankful for his time north of the border. He reflected: “Winning the treble-treble with the team collectively was really special.

There’s no better thing to do than make history for the club.

“I had an amazing three and a half years at Celtic, winning everything up there and getting great support from the fans.

That will always be such a proud time.

“Brendan Rodgers brought me in to produce and score goals

It seems like I’ve had him throughout my whole career.

“I had him at Chelsea at youth team level, then he brought me to Swansea and we got promoted.

“Then he brought me to Celtic and I never looked back. He knew how to get the best out of me.”

Sinclair found himself out of favour when Neil Lennon replaced Rodgers.

Having been a mainstay of the side, he made just two late sub appearances in the Premiership this season, plus fleeting outings off the bench in the Champions League, Europa League and League Cup.

Sinclair knew his time in Scotland was up, leaving Celtic’s Dubai training camp early to get his move to Deepdale sorted.

He opened his Preston account in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Swansea City.

He said: “Being a footballer is about your game time and when that gets limited and you’re no longer wanted you move on.

“You have to try and be happy at another team playing week-in, week-out.

“When I went up there after being in and out of the team at Aston Villa and in previous years not playing at City I was still hungry.

The start at Celtic was the best time of my career. I was there for three and a half years, but it was the right time to move back to England.

“As a squad we won a lot and on an individual note I won the Sports Writers’ Player of the Year award.

“I had been top scorer for Celtic, so all of the accolades I’d ticked off. It was a great feeling.”

He never stopped producing for us, when he was a regular. Fantastic signing.
