Jojo Rabbit. Almost lost interest as I felt it was a touch too condescending, but I stuck with it and I'm glad I did. A Mel Brooks type movie with meaning and emotion (rather than just farting and dancing). 8/10.

It’s brilliant as well. Robert Pattinson was phenomenal in it.

Their films are just relentless man :giggle1:

Midsommar would have to been in my top five of 2019.

Midsommar and Uncut Gems were the best films of 2019 for me.

Don’t think anything else really came close.

Really? Obviously we are all entitled to our own opinions, and there is no doubt Endgame was the monster hit at the box office, however how much of that has to be attributed to having the in-built fanbase as opposed to the virtues of this as a single film on it's own merits? IMO, Endgame is the Return of the Jedi to Infinity War's Empire Strikes Back. In other words, while it is good, it is still a considerable step down from it's predecessor.

Midsommer was in my top 10 of the year, but like with Parasite, because I rely on AD it may effect my opinions that not rated quite as highly as others do. I've not managed to catch Uncut Gems as yet, but have heard nothing but really good things about it, so looking forward to that.

Thought Endgame was awful. Marvel films in general are.

Disney seem to be ruining Star Wars now as well.

Aye. It was an epic sized, satisfying ending to the story. Loved it from start to finish. I had a lot of fun watching it.

    1917. Fantastic.

The way it’s shot is unbelievable as if it’s one whole take.

Some of the scenes are stunning.

10/10. Amazing film. Don’t really want to give anything away, if you’re going to watch it don’t watch any trailers or anything.

Understandable why there’s so much hype about it. Didn’t know what to expect but * me. Absolutely blown away by it.

Will watch Uncut Gems, sounds like something I'd like. Sandler is a good actor if anyone's seen Punch Drunk Love..definitely not his usual cheesy Comedy skits. I like dark seedy edgy films.
