Just reading others thoughts on Larsson and Sutton. I think we miss this type of partnership. None of our strikers are the type to out muscle and fight for balls against big defenders.

I would take a wee punt on Cosgrove and play him alongside Eddie not only does he score goals. I believe he (or a big strong striker) could provide space and more opportunities for Eddie

Also heard this from a guy 6 or 7 weeks ago, that we were holding talks over a permanent deal for Roberts for January. Whether it’s true or not is another thing, but the guy has been spot on in the past with his info.

Fee thought to be around £1.4 - £2million. A number 10. Maybe not a priority position, but for the money it's a good value signing and he's got good skills and height also standing at 6ft 2.

I think we need a 10 tbh. That's something we lacked on sunday, someone who could lift their head and show a bit of composure when crowded out in the final 3rd.

Christie has got a great engine and will get a lot of goals from midfield but i dont think he's a natural 10. Rogic is the only real one we have and he's mostly unfit, might even be out of favour now.

 

Get LB, CBs and ST, only midfielder we need is someone to go in and bully teams as Broony needs rested and won't be around for ever. Got McGregor, Ntcham and Rogic who can all pass the ball, Christie has the legs box to box, maybe that is a possibility.

I agree actually but Sunday I feel we were outnumbered in midfield and McGregor and Broony failed to take the game to the Huns. Christie (who was poor tbf) and Edouard were taken out of the game for the most part.

A five man midfield that included Ntcham and Christie I think would have had the legs and tenacity to impose themselves on the game better.

Either way we definitely need some better/more options in the middle of the park, and obviously a striker.

 

Not sure if it's realistic but Dyzuba from Zenit is out of contract in the summer and is exactly the type of striker we need.

 

When you analyse our squad, we still have a sizeable amount of passengers/deadwood at the moment.

Players who are passengers simply because they aren’t good enough & running down their contract and others because they are (regularly) injured.

There is no doubting that we have to improve the squad this window but it needs to be with players who can slot into the first team immediately or seriously contest for a position.

However, we should also be looking to get rid of the deadwood and trim the squad size. The wages that we would save could be used towards brining in new players.

There is some players who deserve a chance such as Arzani, Bayo and Shved but there’s others like Gordon, Hendry, Ralston, Miller that we need to get rid of altogether.

 

Let's hope Lennys 2nd window is as good as his last.

 

Couldnt find the player suggestions topic, but I am watching the Portuguese league, this guy is quite good, young, and with similar characteristics to Forrest allowing for a good rotation

A couple of suggestions from Danish league Mustapha Bundu, a powerful and pacy forward who can play from the left or right and looks comfy on either foot

Mohammad Kudus a 19 year old Ghanaian international midfielder who looks very good on the ball, looks energetic and can finish (not really the physical midfielder we could be doing with but a good option to rotate with mcgregor if Ntcham leaves)

Lastly not as a main striker but as a target man option on a Bosman or for a small fee Hannover 96, Hendrik Weydandt who is 6’5 and scored 6 in 15 this season.
