It would be a fantastic signing rather than just having him on loan but I don't think the transfer fee would be the stumbling block but his salary would be.

We need to move on from this salary cap thing. It’s hindered our progress for years now. Bringing in a top quality player and paying 30-35k a week isn’t going to upset the squad. It happens all over the world, teams bring in a quality player and pay them top dollar.

I really don't see it happening. I think money will be spent on a goalkeeper and another striker when Eddy leaves.

I don't think that is the case. I mean I'm not sure Jullien will ever be a profit or a big one and he cost £7m.

I think there can be gambles taken on certain positions.

Gambles in a sense that for example. If we went and spent say £13mill on Forster, there is a good chance he could be a key reason we get to CL football, therefore in some roundabout way he turns us a profit.

Then we can still go out and get in guys like VVD, Wanyama, Dembele, Eddie and bring them in with the key being sellable assets.

If anything I suppose you could call it our own little Ajax model in comparison but on a much lesser scale.

We need to, where we can afford, look at bringing in experienced players to mix it up with our prospects.

6 mill with a 10% sell on. He would do well in Italy and they sign older players no reason we can't the money back in 15/24 months

Can’t see us making it permanent, not at this stage..

Even if it does make sense.

If anybody thinks we are spending £9-£10m on a goalie, yous are in fantasy land!

If we ARE going to spend that type of money it'll be on an outfield player - let's be honest you're gonna sell more outfield jerseys and "Elyounoussi" is a long name so sells more letters in the printing.

£9m is * all too, especially when it can be spread out in installments over....say...3 years.

    For £9m, get him signed.

Our left wing would be sorted for years with him and MJ.

It's all hypothetical but we're already cash-rich and there's a good chance that we could get the following in sales in the near future:

    Eddie - £30m+
    Ntcham - £10m+
    Rogic - £8m+
Hendry - Multipack of monster munch

If all of those do happen then we have plenty to reinvest and it will need to be on quality, not on cheap replacements.

    £7m + £2m add-ons and a pack of pickled onion as a signing-on fee.

Aye, plus if Dembele goes to Chelski and IF we have a 10% sell on (and we get....say €4m) then we'll only fork out about £4-5m on Mo.

I'd like to think we'd negotiate a bit first.

    £3.75m + a Flamin' hot.

Spending that on Forster is the difference between us being competitive in cl next year all the goals we conceded under that * Gordon wouldn’t have been conceded under Forster games like inter Milan games against Salzburg

I can see why everyone wants him.. I do too.

But, we have him until the end of the season and if his fee and wages stop us adding in the other departments that’s are needed, I’d rather wait until the end of the season.

Hope Celtic surprise us, but not holding my breath.

We'll get £200 million when Eddie leaves
