Simple, they turned up just as they did at Hampden; we didn't, just like we didn't at Hampden. James Forest AWOL Mikey Johnstone doesn't have the bottle against them. No one played well today. Went just as I expected it would!

Men against boys today. They have a more physical and mature team than us, Mickey Johnston and Frimpong are very promising young players but they looked like wee boys out there today. The Glasgow Derby isnt a game for wee boys, it was no coincidence that Scott Brown was our best player. We needed players like El Hamed, Ntcham and Rogic out there today, Neil Lennon needs to bear this in mind when signing players in January and making future team selections in Glasgow Derbys.

Technically their midfield isn’t great it’s their speed and aggression that gets us. They’re like an ikea version of Liverpool. Lenny needs to find the right balance in midfield for the next game. Not be easy

they 100% deserved to win. We were rank. You can argue about chances, but the bottom line is they came and executed a game plan and battled and had the baws. We never got going.

I am a bit bemused at some of the comments. Forrest is now a bottler. Christie over rated. Johnston is lightweight. We need some perspective. We are top of the league with the caveat that Sevco have a game in hand. We have won the league cup. We won 11 league games on the spin. Our Europa league performances were fantastic. Ok things have not been perfect. The Champions league debacle stands out. Today was another. We were so poor. Devoid of ideas. Fatigued. The fatigue is on Lennon. He hasn't rotated anywhere near enough. Today we paid the price for that. Slippy seems to have had Lennon's number the past two games. That is a concern. I do believe though that ElHamed and Elyonoussi were big misses today. They are two top class experienced players.

the fact that we dropped points away, means that the head to heads vs them are even more vital as they continued to grind out results.
Hate to break it, but unless we improve and beat them again, we wont.

It was clear in the first quarter of the game that we had nothing in a wide position. To wait until that late in the game to change it seems vital.

Johnston and Forrest were possibly our 2 worst players on the pitch, yet we persevered with them.

It was crying out for us dominating midfield with Ntcham, who always shows in big games, whereas Johnston doesn't.

    Really surprising from Lenny.

he can act dejected all he likes. Not fooling anyone saying we didnt deserve to lose.
Unless he gets the team motivated an improves us, he will inevitably be dejected again because so far he hasnt had an answer to Gerrards tactics.

well, still hurting but ive cooled off a wee bit, and i,m not sugarcoating it or talking with beer goggles on, but losing a round or two doesnt lose you the fight. ive doubted these men before , and they,ve always proved me wrong and amazed me! so yes , we need some help in january , but like the previous 8 yrs i fully expect to see our hands raised again after the final bell!

We had some decent performers today in Julien' Brown and McGregor but far too few up for the battle.

We need to win the battle better going forward.

Sevco weren't that good, and we weren't that bad but we lacked penetration.

Boli isn't a player. Forrest isn't playing well currently. Christie looked lightweight and uninspiring.

A few players off their game is good enough for those * to take advantage and they did.

If Taylor isn't fancied by Lennon then we need a left back still. We need a striker to compete with Eddy and we need the elusive replacement for Brown (although for me he was man of the match today).

Was surprised at how the performance and tactics were so similar to hampden, we had tried a back 3 and then the ntcham with Christie out wide selection a few times since hampden then never used either of those. They again overran us in midfield and stopped us from building any sustained period of dominance.

It’s now about what happens in January as the league looks like it’ll be settled on the last two games v them. We need an enforcer in

We may need to consider a wee change of shape v them, they are able to nullify us too easily...

Although, Elhamed and Elyonoussi make a huge difference to us..

Elhamed is a big loss just now. I love young frompong but we can't expect the boy at his age to play consistently well. Get elhamed and ellanoussi fit and bring in a proper center half to play beside jullien and you make us a big physical unit, also a striker is a must to ease the pressure on Eduard. Ajer isn't a center half but throw him into midfield and watch him Burst from there. There's lots of good players at Celtic, they just need a couple of additions.

We are scared to lose and they are desperate to win.

We played well within ourselves, but they came to Parkhead and won deservedly..

    Inexcusable.

We have lost our hunger against these *. They have wanted it far more in the last two games. Losing at home to them is unforgivable imo.

Pure trash. If we just play a simple game we beat them every time. But, as usual, the whole team completely fail to perform even the most basic level of football.

A simple passing & movement, man marking game would be enough to beat those * easily. But instead we've got * attempting and failing to do all sorts of tricks and flicks when they can't even pass a ball 5 yards.

All Rangers done was stick to their basic formation/game plan and let us beat ourselves. There was barely one pass that didn't hit the nearest defender or one dribble that just ran into the first man.

The manager has to take the majority of the blame for that performance. That should have been an easy win. Even a draw would have been a poor result.

We better come back after the break refreshed and ready to give 100% every game. Shouldn't be difficult considering most of the team haven't kicked a ball since the start of December.

We seem to have totally dropped our pressing game against them, they had far too much time on the ball without us putting them under any pressure.

Our lack of width today killed us, Forrest and MJ had stinkers which obviously was a major reason for that, however seemed to me frimpong had been told not to hit the bye line for some reason.. as soon as he got halfway into their half he either cut inside or passed it back, there were times it was crying out for him to hit the byeline and whip a ball in!!

We need to sort these mistakes out for the next 2 games against them, cant see either team dropping too many points out with the games against each other, so we need to show we have the better players and turn this recent trend of being outplayed and out pressed and put them back in their box!

I don't think we've lost our way against them, I think it is now time that we realised that they are back as a difficult team to play against now.

We go into these games, especially at home, expecting to overrun them. It's time we got it into our heads that those days are over now.

They are title contenders, and rightly so. They are a different animal under Gerrard.
