    David Beckham Inter Miami have asked permission to speak to Celtic winger Lewis Morgan.

    The 23-year old, who has had loan spells with St Mirren and Sunderland in recent seasons, has made 18 appearances for Neil Lennon's side this campaign and scored twice with both goals coming in the Europa League.

    Beckham's club, coached by 44-year-old Diego Alonso, face FC Dallas on February 22 in their first game and hope to have Morgan on board by then.

    Scotland star Lewis Morgan is flying back from Dubai for talks over a move to David Beckham’s Inter Miami.

    Celtic have accepted a significant six figure sum for the winger from the Major League Soccernew boys.



    Morgan is now heading back to Scotland for talks with the US outfit, his agent and his family.

    The 23-year-old will decide over the next 48 hours whether or not he wants to move to the States, where he has been offered a lucrative long-term deal.


    Miami where formed by Beckham back in January 2018 and will kick off in MLS on February 22.

    Beckham has already tried to land Gareth Bale from Real Madrid and is trying to put together a squad that will compete at the top level.

    The England legend has already appointed Diego Alonso as their new head coach and they are looking to build a young, exciting team that has future value.


    Morgan falls into that category and his agents also have strong links in America.


    The winger has struggled to get a regular run in the Celtic team although he did start in this season’s Betfred Cup Final win.

    He was signed by Brendan Rodgers from St Mirren in 2018 but has had loan spells back in Paisley and at Sunderland last season and struggled to break into Neil Lennon 's team.

    Morgan was against another loan and said if he was to leave Celtic again it would be on a permanent basis.

    He now has to decide if he wants to follow Scotland caps Johnny Russell, who is at Sporting Kansas City, and Gary Mackay-Steven who is at New York City.

    New York have also just appointed former boss Ronny Deila as their new head coach.
