I've been on the balcony at the Apollo many times, and * myself every time. That balcony could move.

Caroline's intro is one of the greatest intro's ever. It's one of my all time favourite song mate. So good I named my daughter after it. She never boasts about it though. Don't know why:56::56::56:

Elton john, "brown dirt cowboy" never noticed that on the album before, an early clue into his future pursuits.

I was at last ever Apollo gig in 1985 at Style Council gig. Best memory of it was Madness when Suggs fell into orchestra pit.
They had just started One Step Beyond as an encore but changed it to Embarrassment as he was getting back on stage. He was so red in face.:56::56:

The first tape album I think was Sepultura Chaos AD I got in about 1994.

First CD was probably Ocean Colour Scene : Mosely Shoals 1996 I think.

    I never got vinyl.

Jealous mate. The Scorpions are one of my favourite bands, and I've never seen them live. To see them in the Apollo must have been amazing.

Urban Hymns by The Verve was the first one I asked for. My dad bought me it on cassette :57:

First one I bought myself with pocket money was Marilyn Manson - Holy Wood.

I had an eclectic taste growing up :56:

I didn't buy it myself but I still remember being given Nevermind by Nirvana as a gift for one of my birthdays when I was a kid by my mother. I didn't even really know anything about that type of music but it instantly hooked me. Any rock music that I heard before that would have been like U2, Manic Street Preachers, Aslan and stuff like that because that's what my parents listened to so this was just incredibly different to me at that age. Also got a few Red Hot Chili Peppers albums shortly after, I think By The Way was the first but it could have Californication either, can't really remember. From there I eventually progressed to Metal over time.
