This is 100% totally biased :) ..but I call Derek Frigo (RIP) from Enuff Z Nuff... 3:32 (And play it LOUD!) - 4:25

There are so many, don't even know where to begin. I love improvised live solos, hence why John Frusciante is always going to be one of my favourite guitarists. I love the sounds that Tom Morello and Matt Bellamy coax from their guitars, which aren't typical guitar solos. Hendrix's solo in All Along The Watchtower is brilliant, the way he filled the gaps that Dylan left is one of the reason's he's so highly regarded. I've always loved the solos in 'In Bloom', 'Your Time Has Come', 'Ball and Biscuit', 'Soma', 'Just' and many other songs, along with all the really famous solos such as Sweet Child O' Mine, Master Of Puppets, Battery, Comfortably Numb and so on...

Yup - 'Comfortably Numb', 'Freebird' and 'Sultans of Swing' are all certainly up there.

I'll add 'Crossroads' by Cream (Clapton doing what Clapton does... but also worth tuning into the bass from Scotlands own Jack Bruce - similarly * awesome!)...

Came here especially for this comment and was not disappointed :notworthy

Slane Castle will forever be my favourite love show off all time. Had Stadium Arcadium been out at that time it would have been godly, never mind legendary.

For myself in going to go for something by A7x. Now this isn't what I think is the best solo ever, I'm just drawn in by anything melodic and this just ticks my boxes in a similar way Hysteria by Muse gets me going!
