Trying to get through to my bank to make a small query, spent ages pressing button 1 from this and button 4 for that then waiting for ages to talk to a human, then having to answer a barrage of security questions only to be told they can’t verify my information because I haven’t made any card transactions this month.:31: :31:

Finished my job and ran for my bus to the next one. Stacked it ridiculously and fell/skidded along the floor...hurt my shoulder, grazed and missed my bus. Right in front of a full bus stop. Got up raging and embarrassed i walked away from the bus stop, missing the other bus right behind..

Buckled twice after on dodgy pavements sticking out. Near enough toe punted one of them it was sticking up that bad..

    Had a shocker of a day :giggle1:

Had a job interview but cheeky * said they had high standards and because of a 10 year old conviction i wouldnt get the job.

    That comment * me off.
I said in reply you should ask
    • Marie West, 81.
    • Irene Turner, 67.
    • Lizzie Adams, 77.
    • Jean Lilley, 58.
    • Ivy Lomas, 63.
    • Muriel Grimshaw, 76. about high standards because before the news came out about their murders you would have jumped at the chance to employ their murderer - Dr Harold Shipman.
Didnt like it one bit, the self righteous *.

Common protocol in many places not to hire people with criminal convictions, unless she owns the business it’s not her fault and even if she did I’d say your reaction is over the top and disrespectful to someone just doing her job.

If you are in UK and given that the offense was 10 years ago it should be spent by now and you have no obligation to declare it. Of course, some convictions are never spent and some jobs are exempt from the rehabilitation rule. It is illegal for an employer to take account of spent convictions. The rules for rehab are here: https://www.nacro.org.uk/resettleme...ords/rehabilitation-offenders-act/#disclosing
