Fantastic pictures today, BFL. Great variety. Isn't it funny that the male duck is so much more handsome than the female? :fear:

A few from this morning. Magpie was trying to hide but spot the flaw in his plan. :56:

You're welcome, Johnie. Omeath, Carlingford and Greenore had stacks of them today. Know you like them.

Was out walking around a local loch today . Was quite surprised to see it covered ( about 80% of surface ) with thin ice . I managed to see a Robin , a couple of Swans and 2 or 3 Bullfinches moving around branch to branch .

My favourite birdcall is from the Grey Heron, sounds prehistoric,
    Great *
    Song Thrush
    Blackbird
    Grasshopper Warbler
    Kingfisher

Whilst out tidying the garden on Saturday afternoon with my daughter, we saw a flock of Waxwing sized birds fly overhead. Couldn't make them out, but we're excited to think they're here ,or coming soon.
'Nature Banter Club' mate; one word, SUPERB.

Yes a cool picture of a Moorhen. Loving seeing and hearing a highly limited population of these up at Kingussie when I go up there.
Here in North Wales a pair breed in my local patch on a Farmland pond every year. :50:

There's quite a flock of them at Rozelle Park, Ayr where that one was snapped.
