    That he likes him..

He's certainly in the minority on this one..

I thought he'd be bombed out like Jack Hendry but.....

Not many players have taken as bad a pounding undeservedly on here as Morgan, just my opinion .

I'm sure, or at least I hope, professional footballers are above being affected by anything they read online etc, but defo think some of the criticism has been OTT.

He's okay but we've got loads of good players currently so he doesn't really compare. It's like being not a bad looking guy but ending up in Mr Universe, out your depth

Forrest was injured more than he played until Deila said he had psychological problems when he was about 23 and there were plenty of Celtic fans still saying he wasn't that great until about 2-3 years ago cos I can remember arguing with them. The comment about Broony was tongue in cheek because he's upped his game even more in the last 3 years from an already high level.
All I'm saying is there's nothing to be gained from being too critical of a player cos it's not going to change the manager's mind and in a lot of cases will make him more likely to stand by the player and if the player realises the fans feelings it's only going to make him more nervous when he does play.
I also think the criticism of Morgan is over the top considering the amount of game time he's actually had.

I've personally not seen over the top criticism of him yet. A lot of fans are non plussed for a simple reason, Sincy is a proven high quality player and the handful of times he's played this season he's been very positive.

Hendry, he is an example of a player getting heavy duty pelters when it should have been the manager who signed him. I mean that looked like a wind up he was so far out of his depth it was incomprehensible how he ever looked like a Celtic player.

Someone has already pointed out Forrest was being scouting by Spurs and probably others when he was 21 so there is no analogy there, we all knew he had problems with confidence but when he was in the mood to fly past folk and delivery he did it with they style he's doing every game now. Morgan hasn't done that once.

But the fans are with Celtic their whole life so when they see something that doesn't make sense or looks to be having a negative effect well things can get heated.

Players are well hardened to criticism, they've been dealing with the high pressure of being judged good or bad every year since they were 8. If it was affecting Morgan's confidence he'd not have made it this far.

In fact, it looks like he's overconfident :giggle1:

I agree with you about Sinclair I couldn't understand why he wasn't being played as he was always good for a goal even when not playing well but he's obviously not in Lennon's plans for the future and Morgan might be and I assume that why he's in.
Forrest probably wasn't the best comparison. Maybe Christie or McGregor would have been better.
The fact is he's hardly played and to write him off already is unreasonable. There is some potential there and who knows how he'll look in 6-12 months - could be a lot better or no better. I think critics would have more of a point if he was starting most weeks and not playing well but he's actually hardly playing at all.

    You's are all mental.

This guy played a pivotal 20 minute role against AIK and scored not only an absolute screamer but an essential goal in that game, had we not gone 6-1 up I dread to think what would have happened.

So in a way, we have Morgan to thank for our result in Rome last week.

Frustrated at his lack of playing time not as * frustrated as most of the support when we see his name on the bench ahead of other players.

loan needed in January 6 months spfl let’s see how he does on consistent run!

Hoping Ross takes him to hibs in Jan until the summer. Now he knows the level he has to be to make it here he can get some playing time to bridge the gap.

Loan to Aberdeen would be a good fit for him. Hibs already have too many that are similar to him. Obviously it done Christie & Maddison the world of good so they have a decent record for bringing players on & they are always crying out for some creativity. There's also a decent amount of expectation on them to win most of their games. They have that new training facility so he'd be in a decent enviroment.
