    At a wedding , fairly well on at this stage and its only now sinking in what Neil Lennon has brought back to the club and the significance of Thursday night, couple that and what's coming through. Exciting times x

    Would love to see a resounding victory , involving an avalanche of Celtic goals . But due to this being the last leg in 6 leg accumulator , I'd grab any win . Go on Celtic , secure those 3 points . And make my bet a winner too !

    With all due respect to your uncle, who like all the fallen (civillian and military) absolutely deserves to be remembered with respect, your very valid point about him says nothing about this day and this silence.

    If they stop commemorating it by having a massive military parade, union jacks everywhere and inviting royals, generals and warmongering politicians to lay wreathes for the cameras, I'll believe it is about people like your uncle and not a massive propaganda exercise in legitimating and even celebrating the very people and structures that caused and still cause to this day so many tragic deaths.

    In my view anyone who wants to break the silence for these reasons is fully entitled to do so (although personally I try to ignore it and get on with whatever I am doing at the time rather than upsetting people around me). May your uncle and all those like him rest in peace, mate. Absolutely no disrespect meant towards them from here.

    Thank you for your reply. As it is I agree with everything you say with the exception of breaking the silence. The poppy as a symbol, though I never bothered with it, has basically since the Falklands War been hijacked by successive governments and organisations to somehow justify illegal conflicts and occupations and has lost any credibility it may have had. Nevertheless if there is a minute's silence and it means something deep to many people then I believe it should be observed. If there was none today I'm quite capable of honouring the fallen of two World Wars in my own way.

    Everyone is "capable" of doing it. Some however choose not to. It's a matter of personal conscience whether you do or not. There is no right or wrong answer. You do what you want and let others do the same.

    Its sick asking Celtic fans to observe this charade that is nothing more than a massive money collecting exercise so that the people who caused these wars (and still are) don't have pay for the people who were wounded in them.

    * their silence!

    5-1 tae the Hoops.

    The way we're playing these days, doing that might see you missing a goal or two.

    I don't take much convincing for one more but on a day like today I'm sold.

    In the office I just leave my desk and go make a coffee a few minutes before.

    Let people who want to, do it.
