Really good film. Intense and dark and of course Phoenix was something else.

Remember when everyone said there would be copycat killings from the joker and it would cause mass hysteria in the public :56:

What a film. Disturbing, dark and intense as *. Joaquin Phoenix is phenomenal.

DC's best way of challenging the MCU is by doing these types of films. Give us one-off stories about characters and make them mature. Forget a connected universe.

First ever rated R movie to make a Billion.
First movie to make a Billion without being released in China.

    Mental.

Great that it's doing so well. With this and Deadpool doing so well at the box office, there's no reason not to keep going R rated.

I wonder how a sequel will work for this? I actually thought it would be have been perfect as a standalone.

Doesn't mean i'm not excited for it mind you.

Probably a lot more ‘is it real or his imagination’ stuff.

It explained his origins perfectly so can only see it starting from from where it ended.

Maybe the rioters/clowns breaking him out of the asylum? * knows to be honest.

Honestly feel of they leave it as a stand-alone it’ll go down as an all time classic like Clockwork Orange, The Warriors etc.

No need for a sequel. Just leave it as it is.

It was decent no more no less. The Dark Knight was better

It’s definitely not pish, Phoenix is phenomenal in it which means even if you didn’t really like the story or plot it kept it interesting the entire film.

Different films so hard to compare but, for me, Dark Knight is in a different league.

Finally got round to watching, fantastic film and Phoenix was brilliant.

I still wonder though how good a Joker film with Heath Ledger would of been though. Takes nothing away from this film though.
