Spartak just pips Karagandy for me, would have been devastating to have not got into the last 16 after our results in that group

I would say no since we beat Spartak Moscow to reach the round of 16 after the Barcelona game and we also beat Ajax at Celtic Park in the champions league since the Barcelona game. A very solid result though no question about it.

The one I enjoyed the most was the home game against Inter. Some of the football we played was incredible.

    During the summer they signed
    - Kondogbia
    - Miranada
    - Montya
    - Biabany
    - Jovetic
    - Perisic
    - Felipe Melo
    - Alex Telles

    Not the same team

Anyone else not think when we go ahead away in Europe, that we definitley aint going to win, and its just a question of when the opposition will score.

    It's pathetic.

A draw with a kak Ajax team!!! We twice had them on the ropes had it not been for that fud Emilio we could have won. Am I the only person that believes with a bit more self belief and balls we could actually get better results than what we currently are?

This result is definitely up there with those games though.

I hope we don't waste it.

Don't be daft, we play with 10 men away from home remember! :50:

Spartak to qualify was amazing, but I don't think I've ever went as ballistic as I did when Forrest scored against Karagandy

Stokes' play for that goal was superb! One of those where you hear the rumble of the all the seats as people stand up in anticipation, then BOOM!!

Can remember it was 0-0 and last 5 mins of the first half and thinking if we go in here at 0-0 there's virtually no chance of us going through. Then Commons hit that screamer.

Stokes' play was fantastic, definitely made up for that sitter he hit the bar with earlier in the game :smiley-laughing002:

I agree. That Ajax team is a team in transition and has an average age of twenty-*-one. They will come again, but we caught them at a good time.

It was encouraging evidence of Ronny showing a bit of experience and guile and a better result than I and many others expected, but it's certainly not our best result in years.

The last truly epic moments I can remember as a Celtic fan are Spartak Moscow at home to qualify from the group and Shakhtar Karagandy at home to qualify for the group stages. Nothing since that compares for me.

It was one of the best because it was mature and organised up until Emilio sold the jerseys.

Even Bitton's goal had an air of maturity about it, Commons calm on the ball and Bitton as composed as you like.

Take into account the 'crisis' we are supposedly in, it was a cracking result. Many completely wrote us off.

Up there with the Malmo and Inter home games as Deila's best results to date.

I would put the Ajax result ahead of the Inter game though.

The performance, set-up and team selection was best since Barcelona.

The thing about the Inter home match is though, we played some absolutely incredible football with our backs against the wall.

Armstrong's goal in that game is the best Celtic team goal I have witnessed with my own eyes as a Celtic fan.

Anyone else feel like last night was up there ? Maybe all the off field * and it being our first win on Italian soil is making it seem bigger than it was but last night just felt like a massive win.

    Easily imo.

7 years to the day since we beat Barca too. And we are now, incredibly, on a run of 6 away European games without defeat. Massive credit to the team considering poor away form in Europe was part of the club's DNA for years.

Yep, easily the best since Barca. Been some good performances and results since but none as emphatic and impressive as what we produced over two games against a very decent side.
