The Leicester job was there even if he left at the end of the season was it not? And I'm sure most celtic fans will be fine in saying that, no one has any disillusions that he is a selfish *.

As has been said since the second it was confirmed he was leaving, no Celtic fan would ever leave the club at the point he did or argue that any other Celtic fan leaving at the point he did was doing the right thing.

The feeling of ill will isn’t because he left, it’s because of when he left. If you’re looking for some sort of agreement to be made on here otherwise, you’re barking up the wrong tree.

Said it a zillion times before, regardless of his ability as a coach, the guy is a total * of a human being because he walked out on us, as already mentioned it wasn't because he left, it was the timing of his departure.

It was a cracking deal indeed. Apparently there is good money to be made in the manager business. You can see why most clubs wait till a manager is out of work.

Aye after you posted that it crossed my mind. I remember managers shifting for around half million and people thought * even then. Mid 90s.

Makes you wonder how much Pep Guardiola or Jurgen Klopp would be worth.

He can get his players playing good football but he is eventually found out with his stubbornness and not having a Plan B.

Look at his first season here compared to the rest of his reign. It was terrible to watch for a long long time.

Still have nightmares about the backwards and sideways passing with no urgency or tempo.

It’s in the accounts £8.875m am sure as it was a special extra over income amount mate then we got a further compensation payment for Congerton on top of that.

listen as I said at the time I have no problem with Brendan Rodgers leaving, nor can you ever discredit the work he did. 7 trophies on the spin, invincible season. Enhanced some serious players. If we make the 10 people will look back and still say aye * and he is a * because of the way he left and when he left. If he left there in the summer it would have been fine for most of the people attached to Celtic but he was a self centred *. The dust has settled and we move on but he will remain a Celtic manager who done a invincible treble and you can’t take that away from the guy (*) no matter what!

If you look back in 2021 and that trophy is held aloft for a 10th consecutive season you have to say well done to all 3 Celtic manager at the time.

neil Lennon who has delivered 4 already Ronny for his 2 Brendan for his 2 and hopefully lenny for the final 2!

Imo all 3 should get on a banner outside parkhead as the three men who (could) delivered the 10

Exactly mate. Shocked how many are jumping on the Brendan bandwagon. Short memories clearly.

After the first season the football was truly awful.

It was the timing that * me off with his departure, not because he was leaving us.

I’m not debating the fact that he can play some nice football at times but when the going gets tough he struggles to turn it around after teams wisen up to how he plays. He doesn’t change his ideas and his stubbornness * me off big time during his time here.

He always picked his favourites despite other players been in better form.

Can’t dismiss his trebles and the invincibles though. And that can’t be argued. Regardless of his deviant.

Every word of that is putting words in my mouth. :56:

Agreed, agreed and agreed. Never said otherwise, never insinuated otherwise.

He made the right career move, at the right time, for someone wanting a selfish career move.

Not sure about that mate, it’s proven a good one so far but if he waited until the summer, I reckon he would have been the first name on Chelsea’s list. Having had previous links with them before...
