If Bolingoli isn't fit, it's risky to play Taylor as he's not up to speed and Hayes isn't a LB.. So then we're looking at a possible variation in formation..

Not as if he'll put McGregor in there.. :fear:

Aye, I get where you're coming from.

I'm not a fan of us playing 3-5-2 with wing backs, unless it's us playing to see out a tie where it becomes more of a 5-3-2.

Of what I've seen of Bauer so far I think Lazio would have a field day down that side if we went with him as RB/RWB. Hopefully he proves me wrong...

Elhamed should start this one. He’s been one of our most reliable players in the bigger games this season.

Would be nice to see the Bhoys get an early goal and hold on for at least a draw more importantly get all the supporters home safe and it will be a good night:50:

Yes, we'd be 7 points ahead of 3rd place with 6 points to play for.

We would be 7 points ahead of Lazio. However if Rennes win would we no only be 6 points ahead of them ?

Want to keep the momentum going and don't want a sore one here with a weakened side. For that reason would play strongest side possible. However, even after saying that, I wouldn't risk anyone starting that's not 100% as for me this tournament is still a bonus and we've bigger games domestically the next couple of months.

    You are spot on.

Would take something from Rennes to turn their form around.

A draw would be a fantastic result, bigger fish to fry on Sunday, as long as we don't get battered and have no injuries then i would be happy. Would not risk Edouard, stick wee shooders up top.

We were much better at Parkhead when we done that but it’ll be James Forrest as RWB if he does

Strongest team.. Lazio isn't less important than a home league game v Motherwell..

It is, until we win the league those games will be more important than anything else.

So you think we should rest players for Lazio with Motherwell in mind?

Lazio is more important as its our next game. Its an important European fixture to suggest we should rest our best striker for it because we have a league game at home on Sunday is mental imo..

I get the league is tight at the moment but ffs. We will win the league and we will win it well..

Start changing important European lineups to accommodate a home game v Motherwell encourages a seige mentality and only invites pressure.

We can all but secure European football after Jan on Thurs , that should be our only focus.

I agree in most cases but we're walking a tightrope in a few positions.

With Bayo possibly requiring surgery and Griffiths likely a good bit off playing full matches for us, an injury to Eddy would throw a huge spanner in the works.

Likewise at CB we are thin on replacements. If either Ajer or Julien got injured we'd be turning to Bitton or Elhamed (who is just returning from injury) to patch things up.

Not saying we should put out a complete 2nd string but we need to be careful.

We're on 7 points in the Europa with 3 games left. Defeat on Thursday isn't a disaster but an injury to any of Eddy, Julien and Ajer is.

We should (and will be) full strength away from home to Lazio in Europe.
