Had a bad result against the huns in the QF.
It's the beta save, so I aint getting too fussed - but the team did see 10 changes for the next game!!!
Liking the new ratings though, some goals to try and achieve to be better.

Does this game last to Dec or can you keep going?

 

Can you play this game on a tablet or would you need a laptop.??

 

There is a 'Touch' version of it designed for tablets which is a smaller, fast paced edition.

 

I see they've gotten Christie's work rate and natural fitness wrong

who's cheapest to buy this from ?

 

Full game, play it as you normally would, just expect some bugs.
Come full release you can still continue on with your current save as well (although some issues may need a fresh save to sort out).

Not delved enough in to the transfers, but some of the lads have posted a few decent purchases. Looks like hicky and porteous are cheap enough for long term projects.

So far this seems like the hardest version in a long time. Usually 4-2-3-1 works fine for me but struggling with it this year. Reached the CL groups but only just. Had to switch to a 4-1-2-2-1 to get me there.

Anyone else finding the game/tactics tricky?

Some early impressions of the Schalke squad: shows promise. There's a solid core of high potential youngsters in the first team to build around, the standouts being Harit (obvs), McKennie, Nubel (gold plated potential, bit different having a young GK captain as well), Matondo and Kutucu. So that's LW, CM, GK, RW and ST all sorted for the long term if I can keep hold of them.

Also have Barca's LB wunderkind Miranda on a two-year loan, no buy option so I'll probably use him as a backup rather than doing Barca's dev dirty work for them. Don't have a buy option for Kenny at RB, and he's only on a one-year loan. Hopefully Everton lose interest in keeping him or something. Would be a good fit but probably a bit pricey to justify a perm.

Have a modest transfer budget, only really enough to get one decent player unless I perhaps do a couple of part-installment deals. But that would chew into next season's budget. Think we're a bit light up front so could do with a senior striker to carry the load while I develop Kutucu more gradually. But Thilo Kehrer is on the transfer list at PSG and a reunion seems too enticing to turn down. Particularly given the knock-down 6.25m price tag. Only tough thing is the contract as he's used to Qatar money now, contract demands exceed the board's upper limit so would have to really beef it up with lots of bonuses.

Going to scout him to see what his potential is like, a club-grown anchor to the defence will take precedence over the striker situation for now.

edit: So I ended up getting Kehrer, managed to negotiate his demands down and he eventually agreed a 88k contract. With Daniel Caliguri 30 and in his final contract year I opted to cash in, flogging him to Newcastle for 18m. Best available replacement was Thomas Meunier, another PSG cast-off (albeit wasn't transfer listed, but they were amenable to selling).

Bought him in a deal totaling 4.2m. 3 years younger and a roughly equivelant wage, straightforward choice really.
Only have access to 75% of sales at the moment so won't have much of the Caliguri money to play with by the time I pay for Meunier. Will probably sit on the difference till January and see if anything interesting pops up in the winter sales.

 

4231 does me okay in the smaller games, but anything remotely difficult and it goes to *.
Troed 4222 for a bit, but goals arent my issue, its the backline i think.

Do you guys start with budgets on or off? I usually do off to keep it realistic but really think I need to cash in on Sinclair and a few of the duds on big wages!

Any tips on scouts to hire? My usual best pal from Red Star has been nerfed - the chief scout there had knowledge of * loads of countries, now has heehaw
