I would put him ahead of some of the others mentioned on here.

They must be better than Larsson as well then if reaching the knock out stage of the CL is the only criteria.

It’s not but it proves that they had it at the highest level for us. Larsson was also the reason we got to our last European final and was streets ahead of anyone I’ve ever seen in the Hoops. 2nd top goalscorer ever, in 7 season, one in which he had his leg broken. Nobody matches Larsson in a Celtic strip in my lifetime.

    You’re just being silly now.

Still blows my mind we were able to keep him for that long.

Nowadays we know the lifespan of a player even half his level is probably two years, maybe three if the first was a loan.

You think that Hooper and McDonald were better than Moussa and Eddy and I’m being silly :56:

Where have I said that? I said the exact opposite if you read back?

What I’m saying is they’re comparable and it is arguable that they did to better in the Hoops, even as lesser players.

Hooper, Griffiths, Keane, Bellamy, Edouard and Dembele are the only ones worth debating.
Neither are able to lace the kings boots though.
But on the whole, for what they did in a Celtic shirt etc, Dembele.

Edouard. Arguments to be made for Dembele for Eddy for me . Top two comfortably.

Some have touched how none even come close to Henke though. And this is so true. What an honour and privilege it was to watch him for 7 years in the hoops.

Edouard could eventually play for a team genuinely competing for the CL, in my opinion. Other than Dembele, I don’t think any of our other strikers since Henrik come close to that.

I don't see it like that though , we had it easy with dembele. that's a fact , with others it was against a strong hun side , important goals mean more than upping the tally , JVOH goals for me away it.

You’re not wrong at all. I’m just basing it on my own opinion on overall ability and effectiveness

As I previously just said- you’re not wrong. I do think we’ve been blessed with really good strikers over the years.

Best striker we had overall since larsson is moussa, by a mile and that's ahead of eddy.

Eddy will catch up I think , but the topic is since so his lyon career shouldn't come into it.
