    Can't see it happening as it's no really Mick's style however if it is level with say 10 mins left we might as well just go for it. Win and we are through, however a draw is of little use unless you see Gibraltar winning in Denmark. Draw or lose we will still have to beat Denmark in the last game

    I don't 100% agree with you that a draw in Geneva is no use. If the game is a draw then next month when the Danes come to Dublin they will already be qualified. As it stands on paper the best chance in these final 2 games is obviously the home one in Dublin. It would be a major upset if we were to win tonight in Geneva. But if we were to draw tonight and be playing an already qualified Denmark at home next month to qualify I would take that no question.

    Sadly I agree with you. I cannot see any chance of us wining tonight. The best we can hope for tonight I think is stealing a draw like we did in Denmark then we would be playing an already qualified Denmark in Dublin next month. That is the best case scenario I can see for tonight.

    Looks like it is, if Ireland draw tonight Switzerland will only get 15 points, Denmark will be on 15 after they beat Gibraltar in November and would then qualify as they'd finish above Switzerland on head to head?

    Just something i heard during the week.

    If we get 3rd in the group do we have a chance of going into a play off of the best 3rd places?.If this is correct than maybe a point for the draw might be on mccarthys mind.
