(I realize this now) -- This all day long. Elhamed is our #1 RB without question. Now, there is no * question. Period.

I've been concerned with Elhamed's injury, but he's easily our best signing this summer and should be utilized as such. What's even crazier about him, is that if our CBs are out to lunch, like today, he can challenge them, too. ...As if the role at RB weren't enough. What a true beast. [Look out, Ajer, you've got a challenger for "Favorite" role" on this forum! :34:)

Bauer is good but needs improvement in order to be great. Frimpong has only had one game at this level with us and needs more time to settle in with the team. We should always be playing our strongest squad away. I learned that lesson today, as I hope Lenny did too, in starting Bauer.

Livi is an ugly, * physical side like Motherwell, but on a horrendous, dilapidated plastic pitch. Think we all learned something today, but sadly, at great cost. The season is still young, though. Elhamed has SO MUCH MORE to contribute this season, so let's not lose hope yet! HH!

CELTIC star Hatem Abd Elhamed has been struck down with a virus while on international duty and is set to miss Israel’s next Euro 2020 qualifier.

The 28-year-old has been an important player for the Hoops this season and starred in both their Europa League games against Rennes and Cluj.

He played the full 90 minutes in Israel’s 3-1 defeat in Austria on Friday and would have been a cert to start against Latvia on Tuesday at home.

But Israel manager Andreas Herzog has revealed the Celtic star has been struck down with a mystery virus.

He said: “Hatem Abd Elhamed is sick and has been suffering from a virus. He’s not trained and in fact hasn’t even left the team hotel.

“He’s not been able to eat with the rest of the group. Clearly, he’s a major doubt for the game.

NL: “Elhamed had a bit of a virus in between the two games but he played in the second game so should be fine for tomorrow.”

    He's * phenomenal..

How many tricks does he have on the ball?

Jesus he's got loads in his locker. That one he sent Forrest away with by the dugout first half..

    Solid and a top baller..

You'd think, playing most of his career at centre-half, that he'd be a very different kind of full-back.

    He's basically Ronaldo.

Surprises me every week. I'm looking for a weakness in his game but I can't see one.

    * at crossing. He usually just picks a pass instead but, so only noticed it tonight :56:

Yeah he doesn't really cross it and I think one of his strongest traits is finding a man with that fizzed pullback pass into the box.

His versatility is invaluable for us. Slipped seemlessly into centre half which allows us to change the formation and in the end win the game.

Yes, this. If his crossing was better he would be a world class full back imo. That's not a criticism btw just an observation, he is the pick of the summer signings in terms of £ for £ for me.

Hope he is ok. Pittodrie is exactly the sort of place we need him fit for.
