I take it into work and about four of us share it, so it'll only last about a week. Depends how many cups you have a day tbh.

Anyone got a coffee machine they recommend?

I'm not talking those that cost 3 figures and you need to steam yer milk and the like.

Just the basic pod ones that don't need much faffin about :50:

I have a Tassimo Bosch My Way and a Dolce Gusto Jovia ( I think) I prefer the Tassimo due to the pods, bigger selection probably with Dolce Gusto but I like the L'Or Skinny Latte pods, that's what I use most of the time, when it comes to just plain old coffee pods then the Costa Americano or the Kenco Americano Grande ones.

Don't mind the Dolce Gusto plain coffee pods but whatever they use for the creamer/milk isn't as nice as the Tassimo ones.

Held off on a machine for now.

Just got a new 35cl stainless steel cafetiere and I * love it. Enough for a standard mug of coffee and a wee top up after a few gulps.

I've smashed 3 glass ones already this year so spent a bit more and got this. Filter is great and it pours nice and neat with no drips. Wonderful.

Just made myself a latte at home without a proper machine, and if I do say so myself, it's * brilliant!!

Made the espresso using a mini moka pot (espresso crema, Happy Belly aff Amazon)

Heated milk in the microwave and then frothed it with a French press.

    Game changer.

Been an espresso/macchiato drinker for years, 5 years ago I finally took the plunge on an obscenely priced setup - but it is heaven

So recently I've been making slightly stronger coffees, and I think I'm noticing a pretty heavy caffeine crash after a few hours without.

I've always heard of people being grouchy until they have their coffee but * me. I'm extremely irritable these days and think this is the reason.

Proper snappy and just generally having zero patience where I know I used to be more chilled. Will reducing the amount/strength set me back on track or am I now this caffeine hungry beast?! Pretty scary tbh.

I find when I grind my own beans the coffee is stronger but I'm not snapping at people when I crash plus I can use a weaker coffee too which is more likely why I'm not as snappy
You tried decaffeinated might help I personally don't like it but could be an option for you

All hot drinks at Costa are 50p today, running for three days.

The app is playing up for ordering etc but it you go to a store and show your app they are fine with that.

Ordered a bag and a death before decaf mug.
Needing something really strong as not much about gives me my fix.

Sort of chucked the coffee and back on the green tea, much cleaner buzz and no horrible comedown feeling.

    Full of goodness as well.

The same is true of yerba mate (for me).

I love the taste of coffee, but after a short burst of focus, it makes me jittery. I have never had that problem with mate. It is easier on the stomach, too.

It tends to have a caffeine content somewhere between tea and coffee, I think. Tea never makes me feel noticeably more alert, unfortunately.

I drink 3 cups a day on average I’d say, as well as a cup or two of tea. It’s a habit I could do with kicking, but the withdrawals make me feel awful. I’ll probably try it when I’m off work in the summer.
