I've not been too impressed with Ajer recently (pen against Rennes and OG which was a bit unlucky but I thought he could closed the guy down quicker). Maybe this would be a better option in defence

Must win game. Reckon it'll be tight, 2-1 Forrest and Eddy.

Surprised a few here are calling it so tight. We scored four goals against them last time and would have been comfortably through was it not for the schoolboy defending. 3-0

I think well see a much more convincing performance defensively than anything else. We have the capabilities to blow them away at the other end but it has to be remembered we havent won a group game by 2 clear goals in 8 years. We wont run up a cricket score just because were out for revenge. Wouldn't be suprised at a convincing 1 or 2-0 and that streak ends but we wont hammer them.

I have a feeling this will be a much tighter affair then the last game especially that crazy second half. The key will be not getting caught on the counter. I feel if we can do that and pass the ball well and are patient then hopefully we can nick a win here in this one.

I take your point but we did beat Anderlecht 3-0.

Lacina Traore is a * dumpling, we should have no concerns with him.

Omrani is dangerous though, type of guy that always causes us problems.

Mon' the hoops 3-0 or 4/5-1 and i'll be happy.
I'll be even happier if Lazio draw with Rennes.

I'd be over the moon with 1-0 but want 3 or 4.

Omrani being out for them would be huge, caused us problems last time and caused Lazio all kinds of problems last game, think without him they're no real threat.

I really like the look of this defence. Julien and Elhammed in the middle would be sold as * and serious pace and power down the left and right. Ajer has been questionable at times through the season, which some on here aren't willing to admit. I'd like to see it line up like this.

Ajer is solid. It's easy to forget he's only 21. Id definitely stick with him.. potential for a top quality partnership with Jullien. He's * excellent on the ball.

Surely Boli is taking the 'blame' for that goal? Caught massively out of position, Ajer is tracking back trying to cover AND not create too much space in the middle, the ball comes off him, nowt he nor Forster could do. Any blame - which is harsh - goes to Boli for being too far forward. But that's trying to blame someone.

Edit. In fact yeah it's Boli's fault, watching it back now, he is too busy putting the hand up and looking to the linesman to burst a gut to track back - again not overly blaming him as bad etc, just that's where we got caught out at.

I've just watched again. No way was it Boli's fault - the guy ran through the middle right past Ajer who then chased him. Boli went into the middle to cover Ajer. If anybody's fault it was Ajer's. Don't get me wrong I like Ajer but I think on recent performances he could do with being rested and play a more experienced defence for this very important game.

If that’s true and he plays then we put a player on to shadow him.
