I think you're missing my point! I’m talking about a collective team play. Not one specific player banging them in from 30 yards.

Think I did tbf, as someone else said earlier it will probably become a specialised area of coaching in the next decade or so. Sometimes a game can be a 1-0 and the goal comes from a corner the bigger clubs will definitely try to gain any extra advantage they can

Definitely. I honestly expect this to take off in the next decade. There will be dedicated coaching to plays whenever you have a set piece anywhere from 35 yards. This includes corners also. Long gone will be the days where the corner taker raises his right arm and then simply launches the ball into the box. That will be Stone Age stuff.

Don't think @dmccourt95 means that either. Think he means we don't have someone to swirl a decent ball in from good positions to then benefit from, which I would agree with. Our delivery at times from advantageous positions is woeful and we should be doing far better.
Cant remember which game recently, but we had over 10 corners and I don't think we even came close to scoring! Huge opportunities wasted. If that's the case, just let the opposition have a by kick.

Just reckon that, over the past few years, we have been terrible at set pieces, especially corners. Pretty sure when we had VVD and Jason D at center half, they both contributed around 6 goals each a season from corners.
Would like to see a stat showing how many corners we got each season. Mostly, when we play the at home, we rack up double figures. Remember watching WBA in their last few seasons in the premiership, they were deadly from corners.
WE now have no shortage of height when we get a corner, with the exception of Griff, our deliveries are poor.
Maybe its time to bring in a specialist set piece coach. Saying that, with mostly 2 games a week, not sure if he would have enough time with squad to make an impact.
    Job for Lubo, ha ha?
