Lennon played fringe/youth players in the league cup game v Morton at home in his first spell and it went * up.

I can't see him rejigging the whole team but I would go with:

    Bain
    Bauer Ajer Julien Taylor
    Broony Ntcham
    Elyounouissi Rogic Hayes
    Bayo

IMO he needs to use the squad in this one. Give some players a chance to show what they can do and let the over worked players have a rest.

Would opt against the cup keeper rotation. Still best to give FF minutes at this point.

    Forster
    Bauer
    Hamed
    Jullien
    Taylor
    Ntcham
    McGregor
    Rogic
    Shved
    Elyonoussi
    Griff/Bayo

Really want to see Shved if hes fit and Id love to see Ajer at DM if it means Cal can get a rest.

    Forster
    Frimpong, O'Connor, Julien, Boli
    Ntcham, Conell
    Elyounoussi, Rogic, Hayes
    Griffiths

    Subs
    Gordon
    Ajer
    Elhamed
    Brown
    Forrest
    Christie
    Eddy

Only real issue with this side is the wings and no natural leader to be captain guess FF could take the band bench is solid though.

I was thinking the same him Leigh or Fraser. Only choose Fraser as I always catch glimpses of his voice in games. I do believe a captain should be heard.

I'd keep Brown in the team for now, as he is one of those who has two weeks off coming up during the International break, and he had a break in the recent one there.

Hayes is a wee work horse though and has to be said he has done very well as an impact sub recently. A game against the likes of Thistle is one where he should fit in nicely, as you know he will give 110% regardless of the opposition.

Still remember that game, battered them that night with over 20 shots and they scored with their 1 chance, we have a big squad that has to be used. I’d rather we concentrated on the league and europe this season anyway.

Horrendous game. I got pished and picked up the European tickets instead of the Morton ones (before they activated your season ticket) so had to queue up for basically the whole first half for a reprint.

There was a guy a few rows behind me that was shouting at Dougie Imrie every 30 seconds going "Dougie....Dougie....ya wee poisonous dwarf" :celtman2:

Yeah Broonys on bench in my team. Feel it's a good time to see if any of the players in my starting 11 can replace the leadership to the team we greatly miss when he's not in it. Maybe Julien or O'Connor could prove that type if player.

Currently our natural leaders and captain material are Broony Ajer and CalMac to a lesser extent.

NEIL LENNON admits he will ring the changes tomorrow night against Partick Thistle.

Celtic take on the Jags at Parkhead in the quarter-finals of the Betfred Cup.

And Lennon will use the opportunity to give some of his fringe players a run out.

The Hoops boss said: “There’s a temptation and in some areas a necessity as well. It’s fair to say there will be some changes.

Craig will play. He hasn’t done a lot wrong but it’s important he gets games and it’s important that we keep him motivated.

“If anything were to happen to Fraser and Craig is under-cooked then that would be remiss of me. Not only does he need to play, he deserves to play.”

Lennon will still be without Leigh Griffiths because of a thigh injury, while there was mixed news after defenders Moritz Bauer and Christopher Jullien limped off injured at the weekend.

He said: “Moritz (Bauer) twisted his ankle so he’ll be a doubt.

“Christopher Jullien is fine, but obviously we have to take a steer on games coming up as well, for the likes of (James) Forrest, (Scott) Brown, (Callum) McGregor, (Ryan) Christie, (Boli) Bolingoli, they have all been playing a lot of football.

“We would like to play them in every game but it’s not realistic, and there are players champing at the bit to play as well, so we need to try and find the right balance.”

    C'mon the hoops, 5, 6 or 7 will do. :celt_2:

I’d rather have the likes of Christie on the bench incase we need him. I want to win this competition big time.
