What's more important though - 'energy' or ball retention and composure. If we're assuming that Broony starting is a given, Calmac and Ntcham are your next best 2 options to keep the ball in possession.

He might end up pushing Christie out left (wrongly IMO) but he's done it a good few times now.

Think it’s the way to go until Elyounoussi is up to speed and MJ still getting back to fitness.. We can always move Christie into the centre later in the game and Forrest back to the right.. I’d start with that midfield with Christie and Forrest offering that defensive cover... bring Elyounoussi on later in the game..

    Brown
    Christie McGregor Ntcham Forrest

I've never liked Christie when he's gone wide..

We lose some energy and dig in the middle..

Although McGregor keeps the ball better in the middle, I don't mind him when he's played left wing and drifting inside. Plays it well..

Want a strong midfield and think Ntcham has to come in here..

We've got options though to mix it up a bit..

The fact that have a very tough game against Lille on Sunday will play to our advantage. This is a game I'm quietly confident. If we can keep things very tight I fancy us to score.

According to last reports this afternoon, our striker Niang is questionnable for thursday. 50/50. We'll need him to break your two giant towers in defence cause his substitute Siebatcheu has been disappointing so far.

Definitely good that these and Lazio both dropped points the weekend..

Both have squads where they'll fancy and expect to maybe break in to the champions league next season..

Should give us that extra edge over them hopefully. Lazio for example had a nightmare loss 1 nil up and lost 2-1 in injury time at lowly Spal. They have Fiorentina 3 day's after coming to us..

Quietly confident we can get out this group. If we can't start with a draw on Thursday it'll be an excellent result with Cluj then Lazio both up at home after..

Would you leave Christie out entirely? I think he's been at the centre of everything we've been doing this season.

I find Christie a lot like Brown, when he has an off game the rest of the team suffer, he has been hot and cold this season so far, his best is yet to come.

I’d be very tempted to but I understand where you’re coming from. It would be harsh.

For me Calmac has to start and Brown is a guarantee for the big games so it leaves a single spot if you’re discounting playing Christie left wing, which we 100% should. We’ve a squad full of actual wingers he shouldn’t have to fill in!

What Mbomo said he's more an attacking full back .For me going to France we're not going to take 3 points I don't think we need a full back that can defend i'd start Taylor .

Bolingoli apparently can't defend...how many goals we conceded with him playing? Probably less than the amount we've conceded in the one game he wasnt.
