People think in england it all started at Chelsea, but Man U started it all.

They may have been great servants for the club in the long run but spending £30mill each on Ferdinand and Rooney at the time was mental.

Harry Maguire is by far the single most overrated defender in world football. Strong in the air sure but you can see the difference in level between him and say VVD.

Cristiano became the highest goalscorer in Euro qualifiers (24 goals, surpassing Robbie Keane).

Portugal is probably in the top3 to win Euro 2020.

    Rui Patrício (31y)

    João Cancelo (25y)
    Rúben Dias (22y)
    Pepe (36y) / Ferro (22y)
    Raphael Guerreiro (25y)

    William (27y)
    Rúben Neves (22y)

    Bernardo Silva (25y)
    Rafa Silva (26y)

    João Félix (19y)
    Cristiano Ronaldo (34y)

Plus Nélson Semedo, Ricardo Pereira, Danilo, João Moutinho, Renato Sanches, Bruno Fernandes, Gonçalo Guedes, etc. A young squad, with the undoubtedly greatest European goalscorer (Cristiano) and in my opinion the best European player (Bernardo Silva).

I wouldn't say it was United. I could be wrong but from what I remember it was Blackburn Rovers under Jack Walker that started the transfer madness down there.. he was throwing money at players and clubs backed up by his own personal fortune.. look how that turned out.

Harry Maguire is a decent CB but is nowhere close to VVD. Leicester did some brilliant business selling him for 80 when they had two young CB's in Soyunco & Benkovic who cost less than 35. Both of them younger, faster & and better on the ball.
Man U have had their pants pulled down yet again.

A very well balanced team and some amount of depth. Felix is frighteningly talented for one so young.

Carvalho is always impressive when I see him, perhaps lacks a bit of pace but reads the game and uses the ball very well.

My parents were in Madeira when you won the last Euros and said the place went mental. They made friends with the father of Danny (ex sporting and Zenit) who is apparently a lovely guy, from Venezuela I believe.

Good luck anyway. Have a soft spot for you but can't find it in myself to like Cristiano!

    engerland player Abrahams,

Tammy Abraham says England are prepared to walk off the pitch if they are targeted by racist abuse in their Euro 2020 qualifiers this week.
England face the Czech Republic on Friday - then play Bulgaria on Monday in a partially-closed stadium because of fans' racist behaviour in June.

I tend to think it's bound to happen now he's said that, if either team are getting gubbed their fans abuse engerland players, they walk off and they take their chances with eufa.

Win is absolutely essential for us on Saturday, expect Denmark to beat Sweden but Erikksen is off the boil lately, a draw would be dreamland.

So just looking at what is at stake tonight.

    Group C

Netherlands beat Narnia, and both of these plus Germany will have 12 points. Germany and The Netherlands will still have 3 games left, Narnia 2.

    Group E

The top 2 Croatia and Slovakia have home games against Hungary and Wales respectively. They are both fav's to win and wins would leave them in pole position with two games left.

A win for Wales would put them right back in it with a game in hand though and if Hungary can win they would leapfrog Croatia. Draw's would definitely suit Hungary and Wales more and leave everything up for grabs with 2 games left( 3 for Wales)

    Group G.

Poland should win in Latvia ( who only have 1 pt so far) and look pretty much qualified.
Second place Slovenia travel to North Macedonia and a win would leave them in a great position. A win for North Macedonia though puts them right back in it.
Austria play Israel and should Slovenia win both really need a win to keep up.
If Slovenia drop points Austria can go second with a win.

    Group I

Belguim can qualify if they beat San Marino.
If Russia win tonight only Cyprus could still catch them and they would require 2 points from 3 games.

    North Macedonia beating Slovenia.

That currently moves Austria up to second.
