Hayes is probably a perfect encapsulation of that attitude to be fair. It’s basically what he is as a player for us.

I never had any doubt that Lennon would do a job for us. I got sucked into the benitez chat for a while but delighted for Lenny.

The away support belting his name out warmed my heart. He needed that after the last fortnight.

I’ve been thinking that the International break will be good for the fringe players that aren’t away. They will be there working with him, getting up to speed on what he wants and gelling together as a team. We’ve been otherwise frantic.

 

None of the new defenders are internationals are they? The likes of Jullien, Bauer, Elhamed, Boli will be on the training ground for a while.

That will be invaluable.

 

Aye mate, then you’ve got Griff, Bayo, Ntcham, Eddy, Fraser Forster and a lot more...

The two I hope he takes aside and works some sort of magic is Scott Sinclair and Maryan Shved though.

One is a proven experience who’s here for another year who only needs to work * hard to be one of the best players at the club, the other needs to learn the standards of being a Celtic player.

 

When talking about attitude and getting in the trenches I immediately thought of Sinclair.

I don't agree with it but I think he is one of the players Lennon wouldn't want alongside him on the roads and fields of South Armagh.

Btw the stewards werent guarding the goalposts. That's true but without knowing the fine detail I'd imagine this will be an instalment type deal as it's pretty clear they wouldn't be able to put the full 7m on the table this week, that's the way with most of those deals as we saw with how Arsenal originally wanted to pay for Tierney
