That’s why business needs to be done in January when we know what is happening in the summer. Right back and cb was very obvious

We had one left back at the time, yet the manager STILL refused to play him. Utter madness, especially since Boli was signed VERY early on in the window.

But aye, IF it was Taylor we were after (which I doubt) then he should have been signed earlier.

That being said, despite Tierney wanting away (which the club could do nothing about), we are a LB, CB and perhaps a defensive midfielder away from an excellent transfer window.

Regardless of any income we've taken from transfers:

IF Taylor is signed, then that'll be a £6m outlay on the LB position.

We've put out £7m on big Jullien.

Secured what looks to be a solid, dependably RB in El Hamed, and got a decent-looking option also in Bauer.

Two talented young laddies in Connell and Afolabi (always nice to see young Irish kids brought in too!)

Big Fraser coming back into the club on loan (with an option to buy) is an excellent aquisition, and Elyounoussi coming in last night is * exciting - don't even care if it's only (at least) a one-year loan.

That's not bad at all - of course, could certainly be better but Griff and Bayo are like two new players, hopefully Shved manages to break in (technically he's like a new signing also).

Too little, too late as far as the CL is concerned. Again. That said, if we are not going to speculate to accumulate I'd rather just watch us in the EL.

Overall it seems fairly positive now, but once again it was a frustrating summer.

    I'm happier now.

I still feel that overall we havent acted quickly enough or with enough intent. I feel like we are very reactionary and played with fire in the CL qualifiers again. Which is massively frustrating.

I think we still need 2 or 3 players. Looks like Taylor is coming in which could really go either way. I havent seen enough to properly say he wont do an Armstrong or a Christie here. With the money brought in though I wont lie I wanted a bit more pedigree.

A CDM is still needed too. Wanyama shouts are nice but not very realistic. Blind hope more than anything with him still not having moved. Someone like that would really help us out in Europe.

Overall I feel weve stepped it up obviously in the last few weeks but once again why has it taken so long? And overall the scouting is still a concern...which I hope can be resolved.

Still very frustrated with how we operate though.

To add to this I also want another CB and I'm amazed we havent gone for Benkovic back again. Or maybe we have!

    Still time.

    Benkovic and Wanyama cheers.

It started well, then we wasted 4 weeks flogging Tierney, and now we've done some more business after our most important games of the summer. Terribly frustrating and we still need a left back, CDM and could do with another CB ideally if Hendry is going.

Could be worse, but could've been a lot better.

Far too cheap overall. Not investing enough yet again.

We must be looking to loan out a few more, maybe Hazard, Eboue, Morgan maybe..

And obviously Miller and Hendry of the KIllie deal falls through.

Don’t see any incoming deals being done now tbh unless there is something in back ground like last week.

Fail to sign anyone today and it takes it down a couple of marks out of 10.

We’ve spent nothing since KT left.
