Refreshing to get a group that doesn't contain any 'money clubs' i.e. Red Bull, Man City, PSG...

Should be a really tight group but I think we can get a few wins, especially at home.

We just got put on our * by Cluj, and you now have us going unbeaten in a group with Lazio and Rennes? This is why people start freaking out if we get beaten in Europe, such unrealistic expectations. The first goal should be to try and win most of our hime games, or at least go unbeaten and see from there. We still don't have a LB, we are light in the middle of the park, both in midfield and at CB, and we could do with cover for Forrest and Johnston not named 'Morgan'.

Decent draw for us and if we tighten up in defence we could top the group. We have to be looking at making next round. We always say we can do second but I think we push for top spot in this group.

Europa ain't all bad. Here we are all talking of possibly winning our group and not, if we were in the CL, talking of how many pumpings we'd get.

I don’t think any of that is beyond reality. Why can we not go on a good run? If everyone took your view of it then we would all be out walking instead of watching games we shouldn’t believe we can win. Even the stadium would be empty. 4-1 away last night and qualifying into a group that should see us play 6 great games and relish the chance to blow Cluj away this time. Let’s all just be negative and write off a European campaign before the group has kicked a ball.

I don't think it's about being negative, just realistic.

Parkhead is no longer a fortress in Europe, and our away record speaks for itself.

I'm as happy as anyone at how last night went, but I'm not getting my hopes up about anything.

Taking it one game at a time.

I don't think thats what he meant.

I think he's saying Lazio are good (last 32, 16 and 8 in 3 of last four years), Rennes beat PSG last month and beat them in the domestic cup final last May, and Cluj * put us out over two games just a fortnight ago.

We should certainly be looking to win all of our home games and if we can pick up a result away to rennes or cluj then we'll have done fantastic. But we shouldnt be setting ourselves up for a fall when all the sides in our group are capable of beating us at home and/or away

Christ your one big smile ain't you haha!

We could still sign a lb by the end of the window. Julien is starting to settle too. We are still to see Bauer settle in, ultimately it was a penalty that seen Cluj beat us.

I haven't got unrealistic expectations. I clearly stated we need to be at our very best to top this group but it isn't Impossible. I'd actually argue you have got us pegged far to low based on one isolated poor performance.

We have come 2nd in far harder groups in the recent past!

FOLLOWING the 6-1 aggregate score over AIK of Sweden in the play-off matches, Celtic have been drawn in Group E of the UEFA Europa League alongside Lazio of Italy, who the Hoops play for the first time in European competition, French side Stade Rennais who Celtic played in a friendly this season and CFR Cluj of Romania, who, of course, have already visited Celtic Park on European duty this term.

The draw took place in the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco today (Friday) and the first tie is scheduled for Thursday, September 19.

Matchdays two and three are on October 3 and October 24, while there will also be two games the following month on November 7 and November 28.

The final group stage game will go ahead on Thursday, December 12.

Id we take 7 points from our home games and beat cluj away if fancy our chances. Have a feeling we could get a result away to Lazio too

Yeah, that is exactly what I am saying. Win the home games, or two and a draw, and we're looking good. I just won't be banking on a 6 game unbeaten run in that group.

    We’ve still played against them.

    That’s what I asked.
