The League but it would be a downer seeing them win a cup or worse. If an Aberdeen or Hibs won the cups, I'd be okay with that!

Not bothered at all with Europe!

    This.

Pref of the Scottish cup over the league cup.

The only thing the league cup is good for now is the early season braggin rights. But it means nowt and we have so much more going on to really care about it.
Competing in Europe and getting a decent early lead in the league is a must, long before i care for winning the league cup....well unless us not winning it meant the Huns might....

Don't see why it should be ever one or the other.

A team good enough to compete in Europe is a team who walks the league.
Equally, with or budget and club size, we shouldn't be stretched so thin that a league and euro run is not an option.

Mad that Lawwell gets more for his bonus than the club do for winning a treble.

That’s not what I said though is it? I would happily give up everything else this season for the league.

Perhaps not quite, but I just can't get my head around why we should just focus on the league, or Europe goes on the back burner.

Certainly if you said to me the only option is last 32 or Europa or the league, then yes the league is obvious. But that's never going to be a choice at the start of a season, nor is it going to be in February with 3 months of league football still to play.

Thanks for the compliment though.. although, tbf, being describe as smart by you isn't really much for anyone to boast about if I'm being honest.

Is that honestly the best "ewe" can do, seriously, or has someone helped you again ? Or was it simply a typo and I'm giving you credit for that LOL :56:

The last 2 times a Scottish club made a European Final they didn't win the league that season.

In an ideal world we should be able to compete on all fronts but unless we see the squad being bolstered in the next few days then I can't see how we can be successful on 4 fronts this season.

CBs at RB, CMs at CB, CMs at LB already at this early stage in the season. Once injuries, suspensions and fatigue catch up we're very thin on the ground in certain areas.

    Some bizzare rationale on show.

If we only won the league and didn’t get out of the group stages of the Europa or win any cups, i would categorise the season as a failure based on our previous success.

I'd be more than happy to win the next 2 leagues and fail in Europe first hurdle, not even make the groups.

For me I'd go with different teams for different competitions.

Could have the likes of Bayo, Dembele, Hayes, Bitton, Henderson, Bain and the likes for League Cup for instance and like Gordon, Griff, Schved, Sinclair for Scottish Cup and the league more settled with sprinkling of above.

    Win the league.
    Win Scottitsh Cup.
Decent few wins in Europe and get out the groups.
League Cup we should play fringe players and rest McGregor, Brown, Christie, Ajer etc.

League and cup double with European football after Christmas. Would like maximum points against the huns at home too.

And again the question was this seasons expectations it’s pretty simple stuff, yet you couldn’t grasp that and went on about not celebrating trebles. Well I’ll tell you something I’ve never celebrated is goals in amongst the sheep shaggers. So you have a bit of a cheek pulling any Celtic fan up for anything really. LOLZ

I think, for better or worse, the league is all that matters. We are so close to 9&10, it would be a travesty to lose out now. I would happily ditch both cups if it guaranteed the league. It may be short sighted, who knows. Nature of the beast as things stand right now though.
