Again it’s a case that he has to play games with the players and build that chemistry and understanding with them. Won’t take long to get a basic understanding of the words needed on a football pitch. He’s not on holiday and wondering how to order drinks ffs.

Needs to start getting game time after the huns game, realistically if we're comfortable against AIK (or even drawing) then should be brought on

He was getting on today until Bayo and Ajer started showing signs of cramp.

Has that been said? Doubt Bayo was getting 90 mins. He should have been on before Johnston.

He was out warming up and getting stripped and then went back to the bench.

Johnston has been on of our best players this season, don’t think he’s ahead of him in the queue.

I think he should look to bayo and keep settling and working. His time will come.

It’s not about a queue. It’s about being 3-0 up and giving Shved minutes. The 20 minutes he’d of got would have been much more beneficial to him than it was to Johnston.

Johnston is a 19 year old developing and needs as much game time as possible.

He doesn’t need 20 minutes against Hearts when the game is dead as much as Shved. Especially when he’s stuck on to play the next 2 games which are 3 days apart of each other. He’s 19, not super human. He can do with a rest too.

He needs as much game time as possible. 70 minutes not playing is a rest.

Dropping young players when they’re flying, still settling into being a first team player, it’s not good management.

Think people are really getting ahead of themselves here, it's not like he's been bombed out the squad and training with the juniors or anything, with europe and the cups we play a stupid amount of games over the season and we'll need to rotate the squad plenty, I'm sure he'll get his chance.

It’s not dropping him. It’s resting him for 90 minutes, ridiculous to think he’s playing every game. Tierney is a prime example of what can happen if you’re playing every game at a young age. 20 minutes isn’t even enough for him to get going in the game, but it lets Shved start getting a feel for playing competitive football with a new bunch of players. Leaving him out completely is bad management especially after you’ve publicly outed him. Something Gerrard was ridiculed for. Let him show you what he’s got on the pitch since he’s already shown a glimpse in Europe.

We won’t agree. But it’s absolutely criminal that he’s not been given minutes.
