I think you need a Wanyama type behind those 3.

From my intelligence, not going to happen.

Tam loves playing for the Socceroos and has zero intention of stopping.

You’ll definitely see him less this season though, after what you’re manager pulled in January we won’t be sacrificing anything else for him

Christie has played his best football higher up the pitch and its ultimately when he played so well for Aberdeen and sustained form good enough that we gave him a chance in our side.

Christie offers more mobility, higher work rate, and is not far from surpassing Rogics most goals in a season in August. He has been magnificent since his return from Aberdeen, really doesnt get enough praise.

Why would you move one of our most in form players and risk disrupting that form? Its mindless. Who does he displace if he moves back?

Petrescu said before the last game, he could see three players from our squad playing in the prem- Edouard, Ajer and Christie.

On his day Rogic is a player but at the top level you cant be overly sentimental and for me Christie simply offers the team more, playing in the 10.

Hopefully we can hang onto them for a few more seasons and add to that squad. We have youth on our side so hopefully we can see the squad mature together.

Edouard is doing it more consistently, Christie has been immense and Ajer has shown he can be a leader and a rock. Hopefully Mcgregor will hang about also.

I simply am of the view point that Christie is an 8 and that Rogic is a 10. IMHO those are the best positions for each player so for me if we were to have a fully fit squad to pick from I would play both players in the starting lineup and in those positions.

Respect your opinion mate but he is currently one of our biggest goal threats and for me is far more productive than the often unfit and/or inconsistent Rogic.

I dont see who drops out if we move Christie back atm.

I completely agree he is very much one of our biggest goal threats and flat out one of our best players right now. Having a genuine goal threat is part of being a top level 8 which is what I feel is his best position as of course in modern football the 8 role is very much a more attacking one especially if a team is playing in a system with only 1 out and out striker which we do most of the time.

For me the player to drop out if we were picking from a full strength team would be Scott Brown it would be Callum McGregor in the 6 role as I see him as the natural successor in that role to Brown. Brown of course still has a big role to play but for me his days as an automatic every day starter are gone he needs breaks to be at his absolute best when he does play. Plus of course the reality is we play so many games that we need depth anyway so there are plenty of games to go around so to speak.

We definitely have to work out a system that gives our top players enough game time to keep them happy and in form. We play enough games in a season.

Don't think I'd be the only one gutted if Tam went.

I certainly would be. He is a joy to watch in a Celtic shirt. Granted last year was not good but in fairness he was basically injured the whole season. Hopefully when we see him back on the field this season it will be an actually fully fit Rogic. Because if we can have a fully fit Rogic back in the team that would be a massive boost to the team no question.

Rogic was playing with a knee injury and weekly needles for months. Nowt to do with his selection for Australia.

Mind you, Arnold is well known for negotiating availability deals so I expect Rogic may miss some of the easier games - unless he wants to play. Don't underestimate his passion for the shirt.

Guy is utter class - it's just easy to forget because he's always out for long spells.

Should hopefully play a big part this season.

He is. When he's on song he makes us purr. Problem is that it takes weeks for him to get into his stride usually

Yes, and we still let him go instead of resting him when we’d have been well within our rights. He was a complete * about the Hun game, then didn’t even play him.

Needs to be a bit of back and forth, we won’t be so accommodating in the future. We’ve sacrificed quite a lot for Australia and Tam being able to have a good International career. You’ll find we’ll be more selfish when it comes down to it now.
