Make it flash white and pink and say LENNY PARTY and you could be onto a winner there.

Yes, but views and methods of framing debates are not limited to the narrative put out by a media source, especially on a site like this.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s seen something from another point of view based on something they’ve read on here.

Finally, the advance of how people use the web, has massively reduced the influence traditional media outlets have.

Yup and that dilutes, you see it all the time - a mini example of it, Celtic defence has a wobble, John Kennedy gets questioned on Super Scoreboard, he’s the defensive coach! Why’s this happening, what’s he doing in training.

Over and over again, and now what does a load of our fans believe our assistant managers job is? ‘The defensive coach’

Just a small example off the top of my head but it definitely does influence the opinions of our support, you’re taking ‘parrot’ literally. I more say it’s chinese whispers, the point we are making, which you agree with there is the media influences peoples thinking.

And it’s that narrative that has people focusing so negatively on Lennon, even when we do well.

It's actually quite interesting. People (including me) aren't good at thinking more than 1 or 2 links forward or back when it comes to both cause/effect and information. Summer transfer rumours are a beautiful illustration. Sometimes you can literally see a media rumour start and then 24 hours later someone will be on here saying they heard [said rumour]. They didn't hear it from the media, they heard it from their mates, who heard it from other mates, who... and the guy on here has no idea that it originated with someone exactly like Keith Jackson.

And that's just transfer rumours, where they aren't even pushing a strategic narrative, rather just trying to make an opportunistic bit of money out of people who click on their website or whatever.

I liked winning the trophies and some of the football/results but there were long periods when I just found it boring to watch. Lennon's teams might not be as successful but I think they're more entertaining. Depends on what you're looking for I suppose.

People are focusing negatively on Lennon for legitimate reasons that have nothing to do with media narrative. Those reasons have been repeated often enough and it’s been highlighted most recently due to the humiliation of Cluj.

People were also questioning why Kennedy merited a job at the club, before he was questioned by the radio.

Like I said mate, even when we do well, there’s a focus on the negative. A massive factor in that is the narrative of the media. They’re fostering the negativity

    Trophies please.

It’s good to have attractive football but at the end of the day we want trophies.

But that's not influencing me or my opinions on the club. I know we are tight fisted and wont spend if we dont have to...I dont need the media to tell me that.

It's just transfer rumours. My point is they dont influence how I perceive lennon or the players or anything.

I dont listen to Clyde or the radio, dont read or buy the record etc.

It does influence your opinion on the club, *. On the level of player thats linked, when we genuinely have no clue what’s going on influences it. Commenting on media stories. It’s an influence mate.

You might not, but people you go to games with, people you drink in the pub with, people you talk to on here... it’s all effected and that’s why I say it’s like Chinese whispers.

The media are an influence on a population. This is just basic things that absolutely everycunt knows and it’s indisputable.

I count myself in that as well btw mate, I don’t know in what ways it influences me but that’s where stories come from, that’s where we get info from even if it’s 2nd hand regurgitated and then doing the rounds on WhatsApp or whatever the * it is.

You’ll find negativity during success, with or without the media’s influence, and despite agreeing it does influence some, it’s by no means the reason negativity surrounds Lennon at the moment.

I know what you're saying but I dont think its indisputable.

My opinion of Neil lennon isnt based off of what is said in the media.

If following transfer rumours means im influenced by the media on that side of things then fair enough. But I like to think I know the level of player and the limits we have without the media brainwashing me, so to speak.

Your day to day Scottish rags I dont give a second glance unless its concrete quotes. The £3m Taylor stoey for instance I really pay no attention to stuff like that.

I'm.more influenced by foreign sources, if anything.

It’s the biggest reason for me, we’ll need to disagree there.
