Gordon was *, was told his career was over, Big Lurch has had a confidence knock, he has come back to the club that put him on the map, same manager, he will feel at home, I’m backing him to get back to his best.

Top qaulity keeper. Hit by some injuries and needs gametime to bring back some confidence.

All needs is to stay fit and the Forster we had and Southampton bought will be back.

...ok. The guy I was responding to wants him in goals at the weekend, I am not talking about months down the road; I can't possibly know how Forster will be after some game time. He won't be near his best on Sunday though.

Forster, if he's 100% fit, plays for me on Sunday. Only if he's 100% fit though, if not stick with Gordon.

I don't think Forster has come up here to play second fiddle to either Gordon or Bain, he's here to play.

I’m not sure about this. By all accounts it seems that his complete loss of form and injuries have turned him into a shadow of his former self. To go from being in the England squads to Southampton’s third choice in a matter of years is bizarre.

He does have a fresh start here though. He knows the club, the fans love him and he’s respected up here. If, and that’s a bit if, he can recapture his last seasons form with us then this is a good deal. But don’t expect too much of a guy who is completely shot and has barely kicked a ball in years

He has had a full pre season, he is fit and needs game time, I wouldn’t even have an issue if he starts at the weekend.

Not gonna lie. It was a scary 8 weeks not having a member of the team that beat Barcelona in the team.

Delighted he is back we needed a new number 1 and this man was outstanding in a Celtic shirt before and i believe he will be the same again.

FF: "It feels like I've never left. I was at the game last night and saw so many people I know, so many familiar faces. I’m just delighted to be back.

FF: "I had goosebumps walking out at half-time, it was an unbelievable reception. I’ve had a tough couple of years and to come back to that was absolutely fantastic."

FF: "I was just looking at the numbers and what was available and that was the one that stood out to me. I know what it means to the fans and the club, and represents what the club means to me as well. I absolutely love it and I’m buzzing to be back home

FF: "You fall in love with the club when you come and, at the time, I felt it was the right thing to go and get a new experience. But when I left, I always hoped that one day I’d come back again and fortunately that’s happened."

FF: "We are blessed to have great keepers here and I’m aware I’ve got a fight. But that’s what I love, working hard and improving. And being back here with the coaching staff, I’m sure they’ll get the best out of me."
