Boruc, Forster or Gordon

Nothing against Gordon but they other two were both at least a level above.

 

Boruc was great for 2 seasons but completely fell apart. I think that gets over-looked by many. Forster was the best by far and Gordon far more consistent.

 

And it’s also a load of *, Boruc under Mowbray and then end of season with Lenny was one of our best players again. He had a slight wobble for about a season and that was it.

Gordon had his best for us is still worse than Boruc at his worst.

 

I voted Forster whenever that was but I’d go Boruc now looking back on it all.

Boruc at his best for us was at one point one of the most highly coveted goalkeepers after his performances at the Euros for Poland. He was utterly incredible for us - genuinely someone who you thought could save every penalty in front of him, commanding of his area and pulling the most outrageous saves one could witness - in fact some of those saves were see reflexive that you didn't even realise he'd saved a point blank shot until you saw the ball rolling/flying past the byline.

Forster was brilliant for us, without doubt. Those Barca games were his ceiling performances. Amazing. Sensational. Heroic. Legendary. Other than that, he had perhaps 2 seasons were he was a complete collossus, hence why he managed to break into the England squad (no mean feat for a goalkeeper, or outfield player in Scotland) - command of his area was always/mostly *. Guy is the best part of 6'8 and couldn't catch a cross.

Gordon was and probably still is a tremendous shot stopper. Some of his saves he has pulled off for us has been incredible. WE've all seen them, and we all know his major shortcomings so not even going to get into them.

Boruc is by far the best goalkeeper we've ever had.

Closely followed by Forster.

Gordon and Bonner can battle it out for 3rd-4th place

 

Gordon at his best was his first season, aye? When he completely absolutely threw away two goals against Inter Milan and lost countless goals at his front post.

Game by game, it’s not true but over the course of the season, it is.

 

Boruc because he’s unpredictable.


Forster because he’s a big *.


Gordon because of his Kung fu kicks.



That’s a good combo of a goalkeeper.

 

As someone old enough to remember Bonner, I honestly think he'd easily beat Gordon to 3rd. I don't think it would even be close.
