For me yeah mate , but take into account back then they didn't have to kick a ball out , just pick up a back pass , but for even though I only seen bonner in late 80s early 90s I'd rate him higher than boruc , Forster and Gordon, tbf bonner was a bit dodgy at crosses too at times from what I recall but overall he was the best I've seen.

My Dad/Uncles always said Packy was the only Irish Catholic petrified of crosses lol. Apparently a great shot stopper though, I’ve heard him mentioning this on the radio before and still not sure if it’s the same sorta stat but just for a keeper... He’s had more cleansheets for us than Henke had goals. He did concede he played a lot more games but it’s still impressive.

I can just remember an old Packy, being terrified that Gordon Marshall had to play when he was getting on then ma wee maw convincing me Gould was * hot cos she fancied him. 8/9 years old and finding out after 3/4 of his games she’s a heavy liar. Made me question Santa’s existence that.

Aye lol man , bad days when Marshall was in goals and packy on the bench but he was * by then , we were skint, I felt sorry for Marshall alot at the same time I gave him pelters, he was in a catch 22 , got to play for us but wasn't good enough but neither was half the team.

Good stat though regards the king.

I liked Gould, but just another plaster instead of a bandage but he done us a turn tae , , then there was Tony Warner, first game and we pumped old gers 5-1 lol

Was that not Tony Warner’s only game for us? * loved that goalie strip.

We were sure Stewart Kerr was going to be phenomenal, injuries done him in but.

I thought henke scored a trick. never realised till I got hame lubo scored a header the king would be proud of.

Imagine how hysterical it would have been signing Lubo if we had * like this back then?

I can just remembered being confused as *, blew my mind the year before we could win league titles then next year skelp them 5-1. Grew up never knowing that was a thing :56:

The realistion of just what Lubo actually was is one of the greatest thinfs I can remember as a Celtic fan, from outrage to confusion to worshipping.

I hold my hands up , I was like " what the * are we doing signing a 33 old " first game ye see him yer asking yersel where has he been for 20 years and why hasn't anyone bought him ? Mind boggling,

How he wasn't scouted or his agent was just * is nuts , both could have made alot of money.

    Least it wasn’t Gordon mate

If Boruc cared he would have been number 67.

Probably went to a non-dom school anaw the fraud.

Apparently everytime he was about to make a big move he got injured and it just never happened, back then wasn’t like now either but, the amount of wee teams that just had a genius was unreal. They’d all be on Chelsea’s bench these days.

Likes of Di Canio, Okocha, Le Tissier back then, they’d all have been snapped up at young ages and went nowhere. That’s kinda how we got Di Canio right enough but they’d have loaned him out for 8 years instead of selling him to us on the cheap :56:

Players like them, either get it coached out of them or allowed to thrive as luxury geniuses at smaller clubs. It’s going out the game that, I can’t think of a single player like that at a provincial club now.

Aye changed days , poaching everywhere.

Matt le tissier IMO was world class, alot would probably argue against it but he was world class imo , I loved di Canio , cadete, PVH and especially Andy Thom at us cos we had nothing for years to shout about , then we won the SC it showed how much it meant to the fans but especially mcstay , I'm off on a tangent cos I'm hof pished lol

Ack am the same mate it’s fun but.

Le Tissier had world class ability but not the work rate or mentality. One of the most talented players I’ve ever seen but, up there with Ronaldinho for ridiculous * he could pull off.

Aye , I'd pay money to watch ronaldinho more than most , due to the show he put on , could have went further, or rephrase should have stayed at the top longer than he did but partying and whatever else took over , le tissier just fell away cos the mainland asked for mer tax haha

Ronaldinho was just something else at the top of his game, never seen a player take that much joy out of a game.

Ye ever heard Le Tissiers story about trying to match fix? :56:

Gordon shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as the other two. He'd drop their gloves.

    Gordon couldn't velcro Boruc's gloves.
