Said it on here before but I think Eddy will go further in the game than Moussa.

What a talent. He’s got skill in abundance but it’s nice to see his strength and hold up game coming on leaps and bounds.

 

Think the big chap really appreciates playing for Celtic, give us two more seasons here and he could literally go anywhere.

Said way way back he had more potential than Moussa and I’m starting to believe it again.

 

Unreal talent and potential.

 

Skill wise I can't think of a better Celtic striker with the ball at his feet, his footwork is exceptional.

 

Weirdly, I can’t actually name an attribute that Moussa beats him in, but I think Moussa just has that different factor that has him right up there with the best.

Not saying Eddy can’t do that at wll, it’s just a weird thing.

 

Moussa probably better in the box but what I love about Eddy is he seems to be very happy at the edge of the box as he is in it, there's a creativity about his attack that most strikers rely on midfielders for. Said it a few times but that way he can just stop the ball dead and look up while all defenders are still expecting play to keep going, it's beautiful.

 

Dembele is better in the air and at holding the ball up, would probably give him a slight edge in finishing aswell.

 

I usually hate comparing players to others before them but the way he is, is like a young Viduka. I’ve not seen a player with the all round ability like him since him.

And I’m well aware this is an extremely unpopular opinion but I think Viduka could have been better than Henke. If he never had the mentality of * Mark Viduka.

EDIT: massive edit and caveat here, jot saying that Eddy can be a Larsson, because he’s a complete one off in football never mind us.

 

See, I’d say both at their best, defo. Dembele hold up against Man City? Unplayable.

His hold up against Motherwell? Probably Eddy. That’s kinda what I mean by Dembele just has that... betterness, magic? * knows how to define it but if I had to list both there stats for something like fifa or FM I bet Eddy would look better, even though he’s not.

On a completely other stupid comparison silly level it’s like Pippo Inzaghi and Berbatov. Berbatov is clearly better at everything, but Inzaghi was the world class striker for 20 odd year. It’s the undefinable thing.

When he first came I thought what's this guy all about? I compared him to Moose and thought what did they see that made them pay all that money? I just didn't get it..............but now I do What a player this guy is and the more confident he's becoming the better he gets.

 

Anytime the big man gets a free hit at goal open play or dead ball its on target it's usually goal he doesnt miss often clinical from the big man he looks world class at the minute only going to get better he never ceases to amaze me just when you think 4 men round him hes lost the ball he comes out the other end with the ball unbelievable talent

Remember when he’d sometimes dribble with the ball and have a heavy touch. He’d only be effective dribbling in off the left.

Now the ball sticks to his feet. It’s wild how good he is. One of those free kicks last night you knew was going in.

Only 21 and already a class act, his steady improvement and finding his consistency for that age is exceptional.
