It isn’t really a question of Forster regaining his Nou Camp form. If he does, that’s great, and we have a genuine world class goalkeeper on our hands. If he even regains 70% of what he was then he’s still a step up on what we have right now imo.

It isn’t a sign of ‘hoof ball’ football either. Dozens of teams have had goalkeepers whose distribution has consisted of rolling it to a full-back or lumping it up the park if in danger, and have played far, far better football than we have over

His record of clean sheets in the epl is astonishing, earning him epl player of the month on a few occassions.

Everything changed for him after the palace duffing and the rags went after him for his distribution, his confidence went to *... then the fickle epl fans turned on him too.

Even in his last full season as number one he kept 14 clean sheets.

As previously said by others... if we can get him back to half of his best its a great capture. Even at his worst hes a better keeper than gordon and bain.

Happy with that! A keeper doesnt need much time to settle in. If i remember rightly Gordon played second fiddle to Mignolet the last 12/16months before he joined us and/or had his injuries. Still he did well for us when he came.
