Felt exactly like this, alot of the storyline seemed pointless and as you say a slog to watch, only really enjoyed last twenty minutes myself.

For me the first 2 Matrix films were excellent, the 3rd was brutal.

Can’t wait to see it. I’m not a big film guy but anything from Tarantino or Martin Scorsese and I’m like a wee fan girl.

I loved the 60’s setting, the soundtrack etc. Just have a bit of a fascination with that era in general, but also the Tate murder and Charles Manson too, which I think aided my enjoyment.

It was a slower burner for sure but I always left it was leading up to something like what happened in the last 20 minutes of the film.

Dont get me wrong the actin, soundtrack, setting etc were all top class, just felt it was very slow and really not too much happening at all.
    Wouldnt watch it again tbh.

Once upon a time in Hollywood will go down as one of Tarantino’s classics. His attention to detail wipes the floor with any other director and a few wee plot twists. As been said, clothes, cars, decor and music is perfection and I don’t get the slow comments because while it mightn’t be a killing fest or craziness, the spark between Pitt and DiCaprio is second to none. My lad went last night with us and the second time in a few days. A film you should come away buzzing but won’t be everyone’s cuppa tea. I definitely know now Tarintino has a foot fetish. Women’s dirty feet all over the show in this film.

    9/10

Also going to sing praises of Once Upon a Time.

Saw it last night at the Quay and its a easy 9/10. Felt totally immesered in the time period, the attention to detail was phenomenal especially the little hints of the Manson family.

All I want to do now is get a Pitbull and walk around with a can of Rat flavour Wolf dug meat.

Remember, don't cry infront of the Mexicans ;)

The entire sequence, when Pitt's character was at the hippy/ex film ranch, was absolutely brilliant. One of my favourite parts of the film.

    Trial by Fire.
Based on a true story of a father in Texas who was blamed on starting a fire that killed his 3 daughters. Don’t want to say too much. Jack O’Connell plays a great part as does Laura Dern. Good movie throughout without it being outstanding and is mainly a dialogue film but was decent.

Once upon a time was a really strange film. All I can say is I did enjoy it while I was watching it.. but there was no real point to the whole story.

Thought it was pish in all honesty. Starting to feel like the first one was lightning in a bottle. Getting two of The Raid’s main guys and giving them * all to work with was a major letdown. Casting for this one was a shambles as well. Burd working for the high table was awful.
