    @StPauli1916 have you ever seen a film called it's a mad mad mad mad world with Terry Thomas seen it when I was a wee girl it's hilarious anyway think they are of the same old school of quality acting in fact I've got it in my head that they were in an old black and white film together

    I don't think so BFL. Although I am sure that was on recently as when I looking through the channels I'm sure I saw Phil Silvers and it I think it was in that. Just looking at George Cole made his first film with Alistair Sim in 1941. Some of the Old films are great. I especially like The Ladykillers with Alec Guinness and The Mouse That Roared with Peter Sellers. ( The idea for film is brilliant. Similar to Whiskey Galore or Dr Strangelove.

    And his hauf a finger, don't know if true or not but he got it caught in a cog wheel of a mill in Longford, was only weeks away from his 6th birthday.
