Yip me too! 1995/96 one league defeat all season the draws at places like Falkirk and Starks park killed us that season!

I remember Fir Park where we hit the woodwork about 8/9 times and came away with a draw, I was * gutted as I just knew it wasn’t to be.

Lennon is under pressure already but that is what happens when you are not a universally popular appointment. Talk of Rafa in particular may have been fantasy but some people were buying into it. Lennon felt like a huge come down in comparison. I like Lenny- he was a good manager for us before and although Bolton was not a success he did well at Hibs before the wheels fell off. We are where we are now though. If we fail to qualify for the Europa and are beaten at the Bigotdome it could well become toxic. I don't want that for Lennon. He is a club legend. I really hope that these next few weeks see us come back strong. Cluj was a hammer blow. Today was really poor. The next few weeks are absolutely huge. For Lennon, for the fans, for the board and for the club. Let's hope this time next month we have a Europa League game to look forward to with Sevco in our rear mirror after a decent result against them. Otherwise I will be looking for change at the helm. Until then I am trying not to get to upset. Alrhough not improving the squad will be unforgiveable and I would want to see Dermot Desmond sell up and * off if it happens. He should be the real target of any vitriol. He controls the purse strings.

What pish? So if we are 8 points clear of a garbage Rangers team at the end of February, do you not think we should be winning the league from that position? One of they games in Edinburgh was in the Scottish Cup by the way.

Well I’m sorry but I’ve seen Celtic have monumental * ups before, we all thought the league was won when Bellamy scored at that midden but naw. So my point stands that points need won no matter what.

So let’s be hypothetical, if Lennon had finished the season the way Rodgers started would we have won the league? My point that you clearly aren’t grasping is that Lennon came in and finished the job, the games still need won until it’s mathematically over. Do they not?

I cannot understand a statement like that we are absolutely terrible just now first time I am dreading a game against them for as long as I can remember .I honestly think we will struggle to win it this year unless there is a massive improvement in the next 3_4 games

Rodgers won that league for us, no doubt. If you take the league from the point in which Lennon took over, we were only one point better off than the Huns who bottled their last game. If that 8 point lead wasn’t there then it would’ve been very nervy.

There was a viable chance they would’ve won the hypothetical mini-league from mid February onwards.

That is something which Lennon can be judged on.

I'm not happy at the .moment but at some point last season was it not the worst point start to a season by Celtic? That was under Rodgers. The issues have been going on well before Lennon came back

What's beginning to happen is exactly what I wanted to avoid. Neil Lennon got out of here the first time with his reputation fully intact. It was the perfect time for him to go and the perfect way to leave things.

Those of us who didn't want him back, took that position because we don't think he's a good football manager. It's not because we're spoiled internet bampots or football manager hipsters. We don't want to see him chastened and humiliated and have his legend status here tarnished by defeat.

He's a big enough character to take all of that on the chin, but I don't want to see it and I don't think he should have to. The board were cowardly, negligent regressive * offering him the job.

During the course of this season we'll undoubtedly go on a run of wins and the Lenny backers will have a gloat and feel vindicated. We'll beat the huns and we'll lose to them. If the football Gods are kind we might even reach the finish line before them, but we won't progress as a football club and that's the crux of it all.
