One of the issues at Celtic just now, and over the last couple of years, is the sheer amount of dross and average players amassed, creating a massive wage bill.

Cifcti, Mackay-Steven, Scott Allan, Jack Hendry, Hayes, Mulumbu are just some of the no marks who have taken a wage from Celtic recently. If the club are even remotely interested in signing Scott McKenna then we’d be as well giving up. It would show that the club have absolutely zero ambition to take us forward in Europe.

Think all clubs have deadwood. Part and parcel of the game. Some transfer work out, some don't.

I agree though, McKenna would obviously and immediately fall into the not good enough category and therefore be deadwood.

No * is to bump this threat. Let it die a death.

You mean give them £4.5m to take Hendry? And obviously keep STH away to * from us too.

I was going to say earlier today he reminds me of Grant Hanley, and then see how he got on today, never knew he was with Norwich.

Dabbur might have scored against us but the defence dealt with him fine. We struggled to deal with the other world class stars around him.

Hope this is settled one way or another.

I'm looking to get a players name on the back of the 3rd strip but I'll hold off til I know all of the available options.

I am ok with taking him if we had the chance. Think he has improved a lot, and I'd take a punt.

As for the fee....couldn't give a *, let the bean counters worry about that.

Think Souter would fit in better as hes similar to Ajer but Mckenna was a Celtic fan growing up , done some work n his families house.
That goes a long way for me, more motivation to go through a hun

He won’t get near the team with Ajer and Jullien and I’d be amazed if we pay the figures they are quoting for him to sit on the bench. Got to be better value out there.

I would go for him ......Julien although big in size needs to toughen up,Mckenna knows the opposition and is up to speed with all the players in the league....

Not at the price Aberdeen are wanting I wouldn’t, that said their big market ie England is closed so I can see this maybe happening.

If they took Ralston and Hendry off our hands plus couple of million then it's a good deal.

He's not the level of Ajer but Jullien has to prove he's that level for us

I'd rather McKenna than Bitton and Jozo has terrible injury record.

Ironically the snake wanted him but I see him more a Lenny style centre half.

Yeah Gyp....depends on what price is getting banded about and we shouldn't pay over the odds....but at what at point do we say boli is not good enough and Julien is struggling with the speed and aggression in the league.Julien seems to be able to distribute well out of defence...but looks to struggle with corners either in defence or attack...does he need a mentor?

I actually don’t think he’s as bad as made out but not at the prices banded about, now the player wants to go and down the road is shut then there’s not many options. He knows the league and that at the end of the day is our bread and butter.
