Not only should Sinclair have been with the squad he should have started last night.

Tbf those that would have happily seen the back of him probably also thought Christie was pish, Armstrong was pointless and going even further back they probably also thought Broony was as well.
They are consistent I suppose at least :celtman2:

He's done well for us but I wouldn't be devastated if he did leave. Great first season, good goalscoring record, hunskelper and treble treble winner.

He's been a great servant to the club, right down to signing the extension that will get us a fee. Not a legend for the club, but a great guy who always did his best for us, and made great contributions. If he is away it's a shame, but I'll wish him all the best for the future. A good bhoy!

I get the impression Lennon has absolutely no intention of playing the guys that Rodgers brought in. He clearly did it with the loan guys last season too. Eddie aside, i don't think he plays any of them? This is more a damning insight on the * poor signings the rat actually brought in though.

Don't get me wrong Vertie, just an observation on that point.

I'm easy with him staying or going.

If he does go though, he is an experienced winger out the door that needs replaced.

We can not go through the season with Johnston and Morgan as our left wing choices. One just isn't good enough and Johnston is still breaking through, he could have a hot and cold season or could take a knock (as we normally see with young players).

Even when he’s not playing so good, there’s always goals in him.

Personally, if Lennon isn't going to use him I don't see why we should keep him, can't have a guy on the bench earning 30 grand a week because of past reputation. Scored 8-9 goals from open play last season, has 0 confidence to get past his man, yet when he first came here he was breezing past everyone. Either Rodgers out coached the best part of his game for dull possession football or he's on his last legs . Always seemed to have the right attitude though and never took a huff when he got dropped like most players would, top professional. There are definitely wingers out there that are attainable for us that can replace his goals, but like Vertie said not sure why our transfers always have to be last minute signings as few clubs are willing to sell by then.

Are folk honestly thinking that the extension was triggered with the intent to keep him for another year?

Derby are planning a beat-the-deadline move for Celtic winger Scott Sinclair, Football Insider understands.

Sinclair was left out of the Celtic squad for the Champions League qualifier in Cluj on Wednesday night amid interest in his services.

A Celtic source has told Football Insider that Derby are now trying to sign the former Swansea and Aston Villa man before Thursday’s transfer deadline.

Derby boss Philip Cocu is look to bolster his side’s attacking options and is trying to lure versatile attacker Sinclair back to England.

Sinclair joined Celtic in 2016 and has won the domestic treble for the last three seasons at Parkhead.

He has made 163appearances, scoring 61 goals and adding 34 assists, but he’s never hit the heights of his first full season with the club, when he blew the Premiership away with 21 goals in 35 league games in the 16/17 season.

Sinclair is out of contract in 2020 and would be free to agree a pre-contract deal in January with overseas clubs.

You are going in way too deep on it. Balde signed a deal and was frozen out, Sinclair has signed a deal and will now be frozen out.

Was Sinclair made aware he was signing a year extension for us to get a fee for him? He is being treated poorly and those that are suggesting otherwise just don’t like him.

Never hit the heights, ffs, he has been involved in 95 goals in 163 games, lol. Jesus wept.

He's been fantastic value and even last season around winter time he was banging in more vital goals.

We have to have some of the most over demanding fans anywhere, absolute laughable expectation levels.
