    NEIL LENNNON will hand right-back Danny Simpson the chance to earn a deal with Celtic.

    SunSport can reveal the ex-Leicester City star will join the Hoops next week for a training stint.

    Premier League winner Simpson, 32, is out of contract after leaving Brendan Rodgers’ side last season and is up for grabs.

    And Lennon will give him an opportunity to win a contract with the Scottish champions.


    The Hoops boss is desperate to find a replacement for Mikael Lustig and is looking at various options.

    But the hugely experienced Simpson is one he believes could step into his squad.

    Haven't heard anything about his private life but he's a good footballer. Started week in week out the year Leicester won the league. I'd take him for a year.

    Was good for a couple of seasons a couple of year ago but cant remember seeing him play the last season or two, Leicesters current right back was quality right enough and arguably the best in the League so wouldnt have got many games before him.

    Trial should be fine to see if he is fit enough.

    So the 2 RB's that have been talked about for so long appear to be someone who's done nothing since May and another who's basically a CB but can fill in at RB.

    Cracking job Celtic you can shove your European ticket money until this farce is resolved
