I don't get people who defend him just because he made one good run against PSG. It was a brilliant moment, fair enough. Every other time he played he was extremely poor. Much worse than Gamboa in my opinion.

 

Getting it up Neymar would be all fine and well but they were ripping the pish out of us all night and Ralston now just looks like a *. Aye wind your opponent up when your winning or drawing but no when your getting pumped. If he'd put more thought and effort into defending rather than trying to break Neymars legs or ask him about his sister we might not have got embarassed so much.

Rodgers made a * of it on a tactical level but doesn’t excuse Ralston making a * of it on a personal level.
We’re on here slagging off Hun players when they make it their ambition to wind up Broony - same standard should be held to our own.

Kiddin on, I just thought that would be funny. I agree, he should have kept his head down, different if we were actually playing well or no getting * at least.

 

This kind of highights a further problem from us not getting a RB in. It has left Ralston utterly exposed as not good enough and must be kind of * for him.

Don't think he's anywhere near as bad as is made out by some, he's not had enough game time to prove either way in all honesty, and the criticism of such a young lad is a bit over the top. That's forums for you though.

Agreed, plus he's young enough that he's got time left to develop. Not all young players are fully first team ready by 20. I'd keep him training with the first team as 3rd choice right back. Maybe get a 2nd choice right back in on loan for a year and send Ralston out.

 

Odd that Calvin Miller is almost a full year older than him. Neither are up to the standard required at Celtic but that's totally fine and to be honest, it's expected. Not every youth academy player can turn out to be a Mikey Johnston, KT, McGregor, or even Ewan Henderson who has shown so much promise for a 19 year old. Some of these younger guys just won't make the grade, regardless of how much our support has wanted Ralston to be the 'right sided KT'. It is obviously very much an issue that he is still our only player in that position though.

 

Seeing a lot of this kind of thing nowadays and a lot of it OTT and akin to *. I just hope the lad doesn't read what's said on here. Honestly it's enough to say he's not good enough if that's your thoughts. Maybe he just doesn't fit in our team and maybe he will do better elsewhere but a lot of comments about players on here are as I've previously said unnecessarily cruel and down right nasty. This is a boy who has been signed by our club and should be treated with the same respect that we give every Celt. Fair enough voice your opinion with regard to his ability in his role at our club.........everyone is fair game when it comes to constructive criticism including the manager. Respect costs nothing.
